Wacom bamboo problems in photoshop CS2

My new wacom bamboo works perfectly in every other aplication other than photoshop. As soon as I open photoshop, the pen cursor becomes very unresponsive. If I go to move the cursor with the pen, it will not move for a moment and then apear on the other side of the screen (or where ever I have dragged it to) and will not create a line on my drawing. Any help you can give would be well appreciated.

my new bamboo works perfectly as a mouse! but as soon as i open any programs that are meant to support pressure sensitivity, such as photoshop, illustrator or even flash, the cursor jumps to the top left of the screen and only moves around in a small area there!

Well I have a similar problem, when I use the pen + brush, it doesn't come out as a solid line, but instead as dots that a spaced according to how fast I move the pen.

My pen works fine until i open photoshop. Then the cursor jumps around and when i try to use the paintbrush or pencil tool, it doesn't show.

When using the pencil tool with the wacom tablet it soon begins to jump around making unwanted lines.

My Tablet's finger touch sensor thingy is working, but I cant slick anything. And the pen wont respond at all. The orange light comes up when the pen touched the pad, but the pen wont do anything.

Not quite sure what the problems is but Im sure you can just go to your custom brush settings and turn on smoothing. This will take away the jittery line.

When I'm using Photoshop CS4 with my Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet, the screen tracking for the tablet only works for half the tablet. This happens with everything else as well, not just Photoshop...

Go to Control Panel, and open bamboo properties. There you select the "pen" tab. In the pen tab you will see tracking. Select pen mode and details. You can map the pad there. After mapping pen mode try it in mouse mode as well. Best of luck!

My Wacom Bamboo Tablet wont detect my pen for some reason

Mabye you should buy a new pen. I had the exact same problem, but I bought a new pen and it worked perfectly. Call first and explain your problem to the website, and they should give you a new pen for free because of warrenty. Go to the WACOM website and look for the phone number in the top-right corner. That is all except to wait for your new pen that should arrive in two or three days tops.

I had the same problem when I got my laptop (Vista OS). The solution is to update the new driver for your bamboo. They are out of date so you need to go here: Updated @ Apr. 9, 2009
