Hello

OK, if you already tried to clean the laser lens, you might be out of luck, because it is the laser lens which cases this problem.

You can try running another laser lens cleaner disc, if this doesn't work, the lens itself is burnt out.

Sorry..

Kind regards
Andrea

The lazer is not reading the info off of the disc anymore, You could try cleannig it, But that usually damages the lazer eye,They are verry costly to replace, your better off just to look for a different one, You can get a good use one now a days for $10 to $40 at the most,

Wont play DVD

I would either open up dvd tray and blow real hard inside a couple times.
Or
Remove cover of the player, take rubbing alcohol and cotton swab and wipe the glass laser lens eye with it so it is clean.

If the lens is dirty, this will surely solve your problem. If cleaning doesn't work, then the laser lens circuit could be faulty.

try taking an air duster, you can get them in just about any office supply store , and sparing it into the disc tray's port, the laser eye may be dusty

Wont play any playstaion 2 games or dvds saying no data

Be careful but this is what I did I flipped it over and took of the little rubber pieces that cover the screws. I unscrewed them and took the case body off. I found the laser eye but Be careful because you don't want to damage the laser eye. I would Recommend buying a compressed air can and blow off the eye and the parts around it then gently get a 100% Cotton Cloth and wipe the eye off. Then put everything back like it was and plug it all back in and try playing a disk. GOOD LUCK
