Question about Washing Machines
Does it spin properly?
Washer will not agitate or spin until the lid is closed. The problem is probably the switch that the lid contact/activates. Sometimes the switch is bad, sometimes the lid is not pushing the switch good enough. See where there is something on the lid that pushes into a hole when it closes.
If you hear the motor running, it is a broken transmission coupling
Check th below link for coupling replacement

Check power to the motor when the program controller is switched on. if there is power but no motion then the motor is faulty . If with a capacitor drive check for fault or replace.
However if there is no voltage to the motor then check the program controller for fault.
Make sure that there is good connections and all inputs are good. Make sure the inlet valve is working to trigger the wash once the water level pressure sensor switches on . So these inputs must be checked for the motor to start working.
Check this out.
