Playing music through car audio system

Just had the motorola bluetooth T605 installed. I wanted to have it come through my car stereo system. JBL 99' Toyota Solara. I also have a blueTooth phone with music. I wanted to play that through the system. Is is possible to do this with the T605? Did the installers just not install it right?

I went Verizon and I think we found out the problem. I have a LG8700 with Bluetooth version Q307.04.01. It connects to the T605 and is playing the music it just isn't coming out of the mono speaker they installed. Is there a way to wire the speakers?

Verizon LGVX8700 Phone. I don't think it will play out of the stereo,(Best Buy sold me this saying it would play out of my stereo. It was only after they installed everything I found out it can't come through my car stereo. Thanks, Best Buy) but they installed a little mono speaker. Now I am trying to see if we can work with the little mono speaker. Verizon said my phone should work with the T605.

He tested for the hands free calling but not for the music. I took it back today and they had no idea. So that's when I went to Verizon and the tech said it might be that I need a stereo speaker. The music pairs with the T605 I can scroll through my music and use the functions but no sound.

I understand that my factory installed JBL doesn't have the inputs for the T605 that's why they install the little mono speaker. So, all that to say is everything works but the music. It's a little misleading by Motorola.Could you view Motorola site for the T605 and see if I am missing something? Maybe I should return the system and go back to my MP3 player and use the bluetooth headset... Just frustrating is all.

So have you connected your phone with bluetooth to the device? You need have them connected and setup correctly before it works.

Im pretty sure they installed it correctly just need to adjust some settings.

So you want to have the music from your phone to play on the car stereo. Or what is the main problem?

Thanks, waiting for your reply. Also post your phone brand and model.

    Ok

So everything between the phone and the motorola T605 is working?

In any case here are the pairing instructions

    http://motorola-global-eng.custhelp.com/...

    IF that is OK

Then the problem is between the t605 and the audio system

Mono speaker? the sound should come out from your car audio system. I suppose it was installed by a professional, didn't they test it?

  • Ekse May 09, 2008

To my knowledge the T605 works throught the build in audio system in your car. Mono speaker? stereo speaker? shouldnt be needed. The speakers in your car should suffice.

  • Ekse May 09, 2008

    Ok I understand,

I personnaly wouldn't use that system then, either upgrade your sound system or have the t605 removed.. One mono speaker in your car thats just uh bad I wouldn't pay for t605 to use a single mono speaker.

Thats how I feel about it.

No. Most mono Bluetooth headsets cannot play music. You need a stereo bluetooth headset or a wired headset.

What is it for and how does it work

HI ....
Motorola Bluetooth Stereo Gateway DC800 is used as
Motorola Bluetooth Home Stereo Transceiver
By streaming music to your the Bluetooth Stereo Headphones, the Bluetooth Home Stereo Adapter turns audio devices such as home
stereos and MP3 players into wireless music systems. Just plug the
DC800 into your home stereo or MP3 player with an included RCA
cable or 3.5mm cable and you are ready to go. You can even hook
up to your RCA capable TV!

Thanks .....

My Motorola T605 has a really bad echo. Is there a solution?

I'm not sure if this is a known issue or not. Based on my experiences regarding Bluetooth devices, bad echo could be caused by two things. First, if it's an issue with the device and second, if you are connecting in to a wrong Bluetooth profile.

Most Bluetooth audio devices supports two different Audio Profile, one is the headset profile (mono) and handsfree profile. If your T605 is connected to another Bluetooth device using the "mono", try to disconnect the two devices and re-connect them, before reconnecting the two devices, you will see the supported profiles of your T605. If there's only one profile appeared, then you may need to contact the manufacturer and verify if they have a firmware upgrade that will fix the problem.

Thank you and good luck!

Too many phones paired to my T605

To remove all paired devices from the car kit's history:
Press and hold red (END) button for 6 seconds or longer while not in a call.
Once a device is removed from history, it must be re-paired again before it can be used.
