Hello,

Are you trying to save the voice on your computer without plugging the N6800 into your computer/ If it is, if your device and computer have bluetooth, you should be able to transfer the sound through the bluetooth without connecting the device to the computer, just put the bluetooth on both device on and send via bluetooth, the voice will be receive by your computer via bluetooth and you can save it directly on your system.

This as nothing to do with plugging in anything.

Take care.

Are there drivers available to download from a VN-480-PC to a MAC? Or any other way to transfer file format to work on a MAC? Thanks! Tony

Hi

the voice recorder should work instantly when plugged into the mac, it should show up as a removable stroage device, or a removable drive, like any other external hard drive or usb stick would on a mac.

you don't need a driver to transfer or listen to the recordings from the recorder on a mac.

I recorded meeting minutes to my digital OLYMPUS VN-480 PC voice recorder and want to transfer the recording on it to my Dell Inspirion/1100 laptop. Could I transfer the audio from the headphone jack to...

Hello,

yes, it is possible. You will connect the earphone jack from your voice recorder to Mic of your laptop. Then you will be needing a wave software on your laptop, download the wave software from the internet, open the wave file, then press play on your voice recorder and the minutes will be recorded into your laptop as a wave files.

But the easiest method of tranferring the minutes is by using the usb cable of your OLYMPUS VN-480 PC voice recorder. If you don't have it you can purchase it, then connect it from your OLYMPUS VN-480 PC voice recorder to the usb of your computer and it will be read like a flash drive.

After that, go to my computer and you will see a drive representing the OLYMPUS VN-480 PC voice recorder, open the drive and you will see your minutes, then simply create a folder on your computer, and copy, paste the minutes into the created folder. And the would be all.

God luck.

USB PORT ON EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE IS LOOSE AND WON'T BOOT UP

buy a usb to sata or ata ide cable. then remove the drive rom its housing. Use an old psu to power the drive and plug the usb-sata cable into drive and pc, transfer all the filees to your pc. this will work indefinately so you dont even need to buy a new external harddrive. More permanent solution , install the hdd in your pc as a secondary drive.

I can't conect my recorder to my PC

If it is a VN-1000 it is not designed to be interfaced with a computer as there is no USB port on the unit at all. If you wish to transfer the files you can purchase what is called a compaticord or patch cable that will connect through the ear jack of the recorder to the mic jack of the computer to be able to transfer the information on to your computer.

Faulty Usb cable so I cannot download my sessions

try cutting the cable head that goes into the voice recorder and buying any USB cable extention and attaching the colored wires then solder them lightly and wrap a tap around each one of the cables then wrap te bundle and try it. just be carefull not to add too much soldering and keep cable from touching each other.

Sony ICD-B600 voice recorder

Use a cable running from the headphone jack on the recorder into your PC microphone jack. Then you can capture the audio using Windows MovieMaker software that comes with Windows XP. I have done this and it worked perfectly.

Transfer datas from Denpa to computer

Might be able to help you out but need some more information...
1. What type of PC (IBM/Mac) do you have?
2. What OS (Windows 95/98/NT/ME/XP/Vista/Leopard/Linux etc.) are you operating on?
3. Do you have CD that shipped with unit and USB cable?
4. Does your computer 'see' the unit as a removable drive when connected?
5. What model Denpa is it?
I'll check back in a few days to see if you're still looking for a solution - have you successfully transferred files before?
