First, make sure the bias contact on the bottom of the developer is touching the bias contact on the frame of the machine. Second, look at is if the drum ground terminal (inside the drum), is it actually touching the drum shaft? If not the drum will overcharge and give light copies as well as pulling the developer which will fill into the waste bottle quickly. One last thing to check is the optics. Make sure they are spotless.

What is the copy count on the machine?

Toshiba copiers have service intervals to replace the drum, cleanerblade, corona wires and developer material.

That could resolve your printing problem.

Did you get your toner from an authorized toshiba retailer? If not and you bought recycled toner cartridges, tough luck. You've probably just destroyed your machine.

Toshiba e-studio 255 add toner blinking after changing new catridge

did you shake toner cartridge really well... assuming that you have, was the copier allowed to run on 'fumes for a while before replacing Toner? if yes then switch off and back on a few times to allow the Toner levels back up to normal level... (replenish) if all that fails then you will have to call an engineer as it is possibly a faulty sensor on the DV unit.Steve (copier engineer 27years)

Hello
You will have to remove the waste toner bottle, put some cleaning solvent in the bottle and wash the toner out of the bottle.
Please the bottle out to dry before you replace it in the machine.
