SOURCE: Coffee beans will not grind

If the grinder is blocked try changing the grinder setting up to the coarsest setting (I think it is numbered 16 on this model) and then vacuum or fill with beans and push them through. Be sure that any damp coffee has gone as you don't want the grinder blades to be left wet.

Never freeze or refrigerate your coffee beans as the condensation from doing this can also block your grinder. Also never use coffees that have been flavoured during the roasting process as they are often too sticky or oily and will block your grinder. These coffees should be ground using a grinder that can be easily pulled apart for cleaning...which is not the case in the Saeco automatic machines.

After you have finished clearing your grinder you will want to turn it back down to a finer setting ( a setting of 6 or 7 works well on this model) however you should only turn the grinder setting finer while the machine is actaully grinding. Otherwise you may find the coffee beans jam between the blades.

If you are unable to clear the blockage it might need to go to a technician.

SOURCE: CCM-16 Series Cuisinart Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill (Coffee Grinder)

My CCM grinder eventually stopped working altogether and I had to throw it away. Amazon comments says this is common. But while my grinder was working, it gave the same symptoms. This problem was caused by beans getting jammed and the outlet from the burr wheel being clogged. If that's the problem, cleaning it out is simple.

SOURCE: Coffee Grinder on the EAM3500

We just went through the same situation. We opened the top the Magnifica to get to the grinder and removed the four screws to seperate the grinding pieces. Inside we discovered two black fosilized beans/stones! We removed those, cleaned out all the bean dust and it is working like new! Took about an hour.

Grinder is grinding much more slowly than it used to, although the grind is still fine

I have never heard about it ,but one thing you can do is .Open the grinder from back. Then, with voltmeter check the resistance of the coil. And then matched with its specification(mostly writen on grinder(the motor) or just call to the company and give modal number they will tell you specification.

i can only help that much.We cannot assume anything else because grinder is directly connected to electricity its only work by on/off by relay.

Also check for lose conection.

Thanks
plese rate my work

Coffee bean grinder is frozen

You can purchase a new grinder assembly. Make sure that your model number matches as there are different grinders for different models.

Coffee drips very slowly and descaling not helping

I had the same problem. Check and make sure your dose is not turned up too highor your grind is not set too fine? Turning the dose knob clockwise decreasesit. I have ended up with my grind set on 13 which is more coarse than averagefor the beans I'm currently using. Adjust the grind while the grinder isworking by one number and then brew 3 or 4 coffees before changing it again. Ittakes that long for the grind to be seen in the coffee. The higher the number, the coarser the grind will be. Any time you use different beans it is possiblethat you'll have to reset the grind.

The coffee grinder on my Magic Comfort Plus is not grinding the coffee. The grinder is spinning but not grinding the beans

Hi Sounds like you have a blockage in you grind passage. Try removing the brew group. Then inside on the roof of the machine where the brew unit was setting there is a drop chute where the coffee is dropped into the brew unit. From the left side of the drop chute pull down and back, and it will drop coffee. This will clear an opening that relieves pressure on the passage. There is a passage inside the drop chute area that goes to the grinder. Vacuum it out. It will be on the right side of the drop chute. Once that is cleared go to the bean hopper. There is a lever under the bean hopper. Push the lever back to the largest number. You can push the lever to a larger number any time, but it has to be grinding to pull to a smaller number. Now replace everything and make your coffee. Once you have made your coffee you can pull back to a number that was higher than the one you had it on, but only when the grinder is running.

Adjust the grind on the machine, or the amount of coffee the grinder puts into the chamber.

GVX2 krups coffee grinder; how to open it?

I have the same issue. You need to take both dials off, then on the bottom, there are 4 tabs on the inside. Seperate the halves and you will see them. Towards the front and halfway back. Pry the halves apart enough to push the top towards the bottom and it slides apart pretty easy. The tricky part now is finding the replacement part. I have super glued my switch and I want to do something to try and repair it further. Maybe epoxy. I called Krups and they can't sell the part to me. I called one of their service centers and they can't sell the part to me. So, if someone knows where to get the part, I am all ears :)

Weak coffee shots

Need a decent grinder or a deft hand with a blade frinder, fresh espresso coffee beans and not too much water. Espresso grind is closer to turkish than drip. Much like Melitta grind. If needed a good coffee shop will grind it for you. A week suppply is preferable. If quantity of water can be adjusted, one shot is about 1&3/4 oz. a double shot, well x2=3.5 oz. You cannot get a six ounces espresso and still call it that; its dilluted or "allonge". A latte w/o milk. Let me know
