Question about Kodak i1220 Pass-Through Scanner

Open Question

I've been scanning efficiently and well for about a week now, and have been using the scanner (kodak i1220 plus) for a few hours today, but all of a sudden while i was saving a file it told me that it "failed to format images." I tried restarting the computer and saving a one page scan (which worked), so i tried a larger file with multiple pages and the error message occured again.

There is not a "license" to use a i1220 scanner. If you are referring to a license needed for Kodak Capture Pro software, then contact 1-800-822-1414 for assistance with acquiring a license.

I scanned one size of a page. Why I got the result is two pages including 1 page with content and one page is blank. How can I fix this?

Tell your scanning software to only scan the front of the page. The i1220 can scan both sides of the page with a single pass. That's what its doing (the blank page is the back of your scan).

Problems with Kodak i1220 Smart Touch software

Go into C:\programdata\ and remove the kds_kodak folder. It may ask you to skip files it can't delete. Just click skip for all of them (probably around 15 files). Then reboot your computer and you should be able to scan.

test the scanner using the scan validation tool to see what errors there may be. also make sure that the length detection settings in the driver is correct as this may also cause a problem, contact the support centre if the issue is not resolved, they can do a replacement for you
