Can't find any information on a model number 101.81950100. If the model is 110.81950100, repairclinic.com has a timer for this model. It is here. http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-110.81950100-%3d%3di1104&PartID=1104

Hope this helps you.

My Kenmore 11020022012 washer stops prior to spinning cycle. If I manually turn the dial to spin, it will spin fine. Need help troubleshooting..

timer needs new electric motor to advance from rinse to spin cycle.
or alternately ,you can have your old timer taken out of your washer and sent out to be rebuilt or buy a new timer.
in any case , you will need a kenmore washing machine repairman to take out your old timer and send it away to be rebuilt and expect that to take 2 or 3 weeks
the timer rebuild used to cost$ 50.00 in 1993 and a new timer went for $110.00 to $129.00
for a sevice man to take out and reinstall a timer $60.00 to 100.00 labor
try to google.com or bing.com or ask.com-----and type in : kenmore washing machine, rebuilt timer. you will need the model number of the washer as well as the model number of the timer and the timer may have a different name that kenmore
also try typing in kenmore washer, new replacement timer
try call sears and see how much their service man wants to put in a new timer. I am sure prices have gone up since 1993
when I retired from the major appliance repair busness. i could do the timer remove & install, but I probably live 1000 miles from you.
another option: knowing that you will need to spend around $200.00 or more by the time you get a new timer installed
you might want to see how much lowes or home depot wants for their cheapest bottom of the line washer. that might be a good alternative as it allows you to get a new washer and buy an extended warantee so you dont get stuck with another 200.00 repair. I think they have washers starting at 289.95 only 90.00 morte that repairing your old washer which is going to run for how many more years before it again gives you trouble?
check out lowest prices on bottom of the line washers unelse you want to spend a lot on a fancy washer to make yourself happy.
you can shop on line by just google.com or bing.com and the name of the store. home depot, lowes, sears, walmart
and type in clothes washers.

I want to replace a timer on a Whirlpool washer Model# LSN1000KQW

Good day Mr.james dant..

Whirlpool manufactures many types of washing machines. Whirlpool's top load models rely on an analog timer that controls the cycle used to wash the clothes in the washing machine, rather than a digital control board found in most front load models. The timer contains a number of moving parts and is physically turned to choose the wash cycle. Because of the high usage of the timer, it will eventually break, requiring replacement. Rather than calling a service technician to repair the timer, replace the timer yourself to save both time and money.
Instructions
1. Unplug the washing machine from the wall outlet

2. Turn the dial to the "Off" position and then unscrew the knob from the timer. To unscrew, hold the dial with one hand and turn the knob counter-clockwise.

3. Lift the dial off of the washing machine.

4. Remove the two mounting screws securing the timer into position. 5. Remove the two screws from the bottom left and right sides of the control panel, then rotate the control panel up 180 degrees.
6. Remove the wire harness from the old timer and remove the old timer
7. Connect the wire harness to the new timer.

8. Place the timer into the control panel. Hold the timer post with one hand and rotate the control panel back down. Secure the timer into place using the mounting screws that were removed from the old timer
9. Place the dial back onto the timer post and then screw the knob onto the post.
10. Plug the washer back into the wall outlet

Quite possibly - assuming you can get a replacement unit.
Consult a local (or closest) representative to see if spares are still available, but don't hold your breath.

I have a 10 year old Kenmore washer that has suddenly stopped working. It is full of water ( and clothes) and will not go into any cycle.Nothing happens but a ticking sound for a few seconds, then it...

The timer is what appears to be failed in this problem.

Typically - units are only supported for 10 years - but head over to RepairClinic.com and enter your full model number. If the part is available - it is very easy to change.

I can look for a replacement timer for you if you want - simply reply with your exact model number and I will respond with a direct link... as well as replacement instructions.

Thanks!

Kenmore Elite Washer

seems the timer knob is old and need of replacement normally happens due to age as the timer switches inside the timer knob become old and sticky mostly unable to move so the timer isnt able to do much of its job

LOL kinda wanna keep her alive I see?? an you got your moneys worth or someone did!! Ok your problem is probably the old mechanical timer on the face as the leaf switchs can break and not release as the cam goes past them.I checked with my source at www.repairclinic.com and they didnt list the model so make sure its correct. Timers cost about 75.00 all the way up to 150 bucks for some types. Good luck. You can go to that site to see for yourselfs if you get a good model # or call them.
