Sounds like if this is a heat pump, maybe it tripped out on high pressure. Maybe just unplugging the system may reset the control boards. This maybe due to a dirty filter or dirty evaporator coil.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Gallery Series range/oven showing

Service tech came the next morning (Nov.26th). The sensor tested out OK. He said that the control board needs to be replaced. Unfortunately there wasn't one available for this model - he had to order it, and he'll be back next week. The good news is that my lovely wife had purchased an extended warranty - so it appears that all parts and labor is covered. We all ended up eating out for the Thanksgiving holiday, and no- the restaurant bill wasn't covered by the warranty. I'll keep you posted on the control board replacement.

SOURCE: Lost power, now oven won't work and display shows "FFF"

I didn't catch the first line in my first response "Lost power, now oven won't work and display shows..." I am 99.999% sure when the power company restored your power they hit you with a surge that wiped out the low voltage transformer on your ERC (main oven control board). Call your power company and report it. I doubt they will cover the cost to repair but they should! Can't hurt to ask and have them file a claim

SOURCE: buttons on oven control will not respond to reset unit

Your power company has a free service whereby they will come to your home after a power failure and check things out for you. I would begin by calling them. It is possible that you have a problem in your electrical panel which is limiting the power to one side. Call them and let me know.

My amana ptac is not heating....the code "np" is do I correct this...we just installed the unit and know little about operation. Thanks

I don't see this error code in the manual. I do see nP as an error code for Window Switch lockout. I just had this happen to me and they had me reset the control board.

Remove case, flick master switch to OFF for 10 seconds. Press Heat/Cool same time turn switch back on HOLD until off light comes on.

You should be fixed. Just had to do this for my unit. I was playing around with the settings and turned on the window switch option by accident.

Ptac does not function. Board flashes "Br",

Dear Friend! Er means Powerwas lost or voltage is low.
Do you believe if volt meter shows correct volts, it's perfect? No, even loose contact of neutral, burnt wire, it shows correct volts in that point.
Simple way to check the power is alright or not, just remove the a/c plug and connect any other device like electric racer, table fan, blower or iron box which work same volts as a/c. If other devices work, your power is o.k Or check for loose contact in your electrical wiring. Thanks.

I have a chance to buy several amana ptac units (ptc074D series) they are rated at 265 vac I only have 220vac. Will they work at 220vac? Is there a conversion kit needed?

The 265/277v units will not work in a 208/230v hotel without a transformer. Basically you do not want to get involved with that. When replacing your PTACs stick with the proper voltage. As far as a conversion kit, if one exists, the cost will put you right back at the cost of a new unit. If your hotel is wired for 208/230v it won't give the unit the power it needs to function properly. When looking for replacement units here's what you need to match (besides getting the proper BTUs):
Unit size (make sure they fit in your existing sleeves)
Power cord configuration (the 265/277v will have a different power plug)
Good Luck!

Amana PTH073B25AM has no control and the PCB display will not light up or display temp. I have checked and verified Line voltage @ 240vac and control voltage to the PCB to be 24vac. The unit was bought 2nd...

If you are able to open the side of the Case that supports the Pc board, and get a flashlight, there is a Fuse that is usually connected inside that area. Of course make sure the power is off before looking.

Good Luck!

Ptacs are for the wrong voltage.

You are going to have to send them back, the heater/compressor specs. are different on that model. You would be risking a fire.
