O2 XDA Orbit, constantly on loud speaker when making calls

Ever time I make or answer a phone call it is set to speaker phone. Even when I use the speaker phone button on the left hand side of the screen nothing changes.
Please Help.

Same here. It did fix itself once when I reset it, but the second time it happened I have been unable to get it off loudspeaker. Somewhat infuriating.

I have been suffering from the same problem.... am not exactly sure as to what is happening but after what i observed it tends to happen when u plug in or plug out the USB handsfree that comes with it. I tried several things including what you people already mentioned. But there is 1 solution that worked with me. I had reinstalled the O2 firmware on my phone again which was obtained from the O2 website itself and it started working fine again. So try it for yourself. Dont forget to backup your data and remove your memory card before reinstalling the firmware.

But then the problem did come back again in about two or three days. So what I do is install the firmware again. I agree its stupid thing to do but maybe it works good for you. So try it for yourself. Dont forget to backup your data and remove your memory card before reinstalling the firmware.

Hello sir how r u. i have a o2 xda orbit phone. i forget handset password. pleass help me and tell me how i can unlock my handset

Chances are Hard resetting your phone, but take note that all data will be lost.

Here is the Procedure

1. Press and hold GPS/Messaging and the Internet Explorer button, and at the same time need a stylus to press the reset button at the bottom of your phone.

2. Released the reset button but continue the two keys, until you see a message on the screen that all of your data will be deleted.

3. released the two buttons and then press SEND button on your device to perform the hard reset or you may even cancel the reset by pressing a button.

This is a known problem in other O2 PPCs too.
You can try setting alarm from O2 media Plus.
Even my brother does this for now.

I am having problm in hard reseting my o2 xda orbit phone...can you help me?

By a hard reset I presume you mean resetting to manufacturers default settings?

If you can boot your device, the easiest way is to go to Start > Settings > System Tab > Clear Storage.

If you cannot boot into Windows Mobile on your Orbit then the best way is to hold down both the left and the right soft-keys (the two keys with _ marked on them, either side of the wheel) at the same time whilst you poke a paperclip (or similar pointed item) into the reset button on the left side of the orbit. This will initiate a hard reset on the device.
