Officially there is no region hack for your machine, but as Philips effectively bought the machine from LG as a badge-engineered model there's an LG hack which has been reported to work.

Note that you do what follows at your own risk. In practice it will usually either work or it won't but it's not an authorised procedure so if anything does go wrong you have no safety net. The risk boils down to the fact that LG themselves sometimes kept the model number the same but used different chip-sets which need different hacks. Mostly the wrong hack with the wrong chip-set does nothing, but some are similar enough to get started but dissimilar enough to fail to complete. Even then, if the machine freezes, most of the time the machine will return to normal if the power is disconnected as this is just accessing a hidden menu rather than flashing new firmware.

Now that you know the risks you can make an informed choice.

Download a file called "LG36868.IMG"

http://rapidshare.com/files/14530611/Zoran.zip.html

1. Burn this file to a blank CD (The file "LG36868.IMG" is NOT an image file! Just use Nero or any of your CD burning programs to write this file on a CD.

2. After burning, insert the CD into the DVD player and press play.

3. Then the region management menu will be shown.

4. Input "0" to make it multi-region and then press the "pause" key on the Remote Control.

Your machine should now be able to play all regions.

SOURCE: How to set time on Yardworks two zone water timer

Copy following link to access manuals for each brand of water timer on market 2013:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#sprinkler
Yardworks does not have website, manuals or warranty claim procedure.
Instead, yardworks repackages other brands of timer, generally water timers, such as orbit or melnor and raindrip. And sometimes repackages other brands of outdoor timers.
Recommend folks stay away from timer-repackagers such as Yardworks, Timex, First Alert, and buy brand names that have clear customer resources.

Melnor 4 zone aqua timer dosent follow program

Water timers and Melnor timers last a year or two. They come with 1 year warranty for defects in workmanship.
Change batteries, reset timer if there is a reset protocol, buy another timer. Melnor, Orbit, are major brands. Gardena is not supported. Yardworks repackages other brands.

Melnor water timer

Melnor is major water timer company, and not off-brand. However, water timers last a couple years, or less, sometimes they last long time but that is not often.
If not drained completely of water, they will break when water freezes.

Most timers have 1 year limited warranty for defects in workmanship.

No zones starting even manually. I have tested at the selenoid and there is water. Seems like it's an electricity issue.

Add a comment and include timer brand and model, or describe timer in detail.
Is timer plugged into outlet?
Does outlet have power?
Is circuit breaker ON?
Is this new timer, or old timer that stopped working?

I have Intermatic sprinkler model T8845pv. I want to set it for daily watering in only one of 8 zones. When I remove the gold pins in the main dial and locate the zone I want to water, it waters the...

Intermatic sprinkler timers are 24 hour repeat cycle, with day-skipper option.
The timer does not change zones. The timer just turns ON-and-OFF at scheduled times.
Each tripper represents 12-15 minutes of watering. And then the timer circuit turns OFF.
When timer circuit turns OFF, the sprinkler system is designed to advance to next zone each time.
So when the timer circuit turns OFF and then turns ON again, your sprinkler control starts watering the next zone. This is the way sprinkler systems are designed.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-trippers-and-parts.html#sprinkler

If you had a sprinkler system with 1 zone, or could change your sprinkler system to 1 zone on certain days, then the timer would turn that zone on-off each time.
Call a local sprinkler company and see if they have a dual control or some solution >> but sprinkler controls are outside my area of expertise. I am timer expert.

You could solve problem with two separate sprinkler systems, but that would require two timers. I have never seen a 2-channel sprinkler timer. There are electronic two-channel timers that can handle two different programming schedules with minimum 1 minute on-off, and these timers can cost a few hundred dollars up to thousands, PLUS cost of the dual sprinkler system. Add a comment and let me know if two-channel timers are something you want information on.

I have misplaced my manual for the 24-hour timer, and I want to make sure I am using the "tripper" clips appropriately: do I place one in each slot that I want the sprinkler zone to run--and...

This device is simply a 24 hour timer. It has a special enclosure classified as "Rain Tight" that helps prevent rain from entering - as water from a hose directed at it would enter the enclosure causing damage to the timer.

It is NOT a timer designed to operate a traditional pop-up sprinkler system. Those timing devices allow water to flow into the lawn sprinkler system and spray out from a certain area of sprinklers for a predetermined amount of time, then switches this area or zone off and turns on the next. This continues until all zones have watered the area where sprinklers have been installed.

The device you are asking about simply switches power on and off to one load. It can not control multiple loads - or as in your case "zones". You would install ON trippers at the time of day on the yellow time disc when the load would be ON and install OFF tripper when the load should be turned OFF. If the load were a light, you could turn this light on and off many times a day - dependent only on how many ON and OFF trippers you installed on the yellow time disc.

A sprinkler timer must be selected instead. This will allow you to select the number of days between watering, will operate many zones, control of how long the water is to remain on to each zone, detect if it has recently rained or if it is currently raining, etc. One is pictured below:

I hope this helps. If you have additional questions or comments, please provide the manufacturer's name AND the exact model number of the timer you are talking about. Good luck. Please rate my reply. Thank you.

How do you set the days that you want the system to operate ?

R88 series timers at Intermatic.
Click on model number to see manual:

Add a comment if you have different timer

At fixya, we're not supposed to copy-paste from manual, but manual says information clearly.
If timer has the day-skipper wheel located lower left of large yellow dial:
Not every timer has day-skipper wheel, in which case timer works same for each day.
TO SKIP DAYS: Turn black skipper wheel COUNTER-CLOCKWISE
until today's day is in front of "14" arrow. Press pins DOWN on days
of NO watering. The skipper wheel must have all pins UP for daily
watering.

Additional instructions:
1. TO SET FIRST ZONE: For watering, push gold pin into slot on yellow
dial at desired ON time. For each 12 minutes of additional watering
add one pin WITHOUT skipping a slot.
2. TO CHANGE ZONES: Leave one blank slot on yellow dial after ON
line (gold pin), and valve will automatically advance to next zone.
3. TO SET ADDITIONAL ZONES: Repeat steps 1 and 2. REMEMBER
to leave blank space between zones
4. TO SET TIME OF DAY: Turn yellow dial CLOCKWISE, until correct
line is at end of silver time pointer. Do NOT turn silver pointer.
5. TO SKIP DAYS: Turn black skipper wheel COUNTER-CLOCKWISE
until today's day is in front of "14" arrow. Press pins DOWN on days
of NO watering. The skipper wheel must have all pins UP for daily
watering.
6. PUT SELECTOR SWITCH IN AUTO: This switch can be used to turn
the system ON or OFF for manual operation without affecting the set
program.
