Question about Sony DCR-SR47 Camcorder

I have a sony hdd handycam camocorder and i'm trying to upload photos from the camera to my laptop but I get a message on my screen saying "check the connected device" and my computer says no photos are availabel for upload. My laptop is a dell with windows vista operating system.

Try a different usb cable. mine did that, used different cable and now it works fine. also you could try reinstalling the usb utility from the installation disk that came with the camcorder.

The camcorder has detected an issue that may require a power reset. To POWER reset the Camcorder,
  1. Turn off the camcorder.
  2. Remove the battery or disconnect the AC power adapter for 60 seconds.
  3. Insert the battery or reconnect the AC adapter.

Sony Handycam HDD error


no solution...u need to go to sony service center and replace the HDD. It will cost u around 8K.
Poor camera ....
Don't suggest sony to anybody else.
