Question about Kitchen Ranges

I have a cutomer with a four year old central a/c that I installed, had no problems for four years. Last week it started leaking water into the secondary pan (horiz. mount in attic) I checked drain line, freon preasures and air flow, everything checked ok. I changed the coil and primary drain pan. The bottom of the airhandler is still dripping wet!!! Why?????

All you have is condensate humidy under the primary drain pan. The most posible reason for this is lower evaporation temperature or the coil which mean that either you have more efficient evaporator coil. So can change the evaporate temperature to heigher one by adjusting the freon charge-pressure. So the condesation from coil in the primary pan to be litle more warmer in order to avoid the condesation under it.

Hi

Your AC has a drain pan designed to hold condensate. It also has a pipe which allows the drain pan to empty outside. Open up the cooling coil cabinet and check if it is flooded. If it is, just as someone here answered, the drain pipe could be plugged up and needs to be cleared. Make sure that your drain pipe has enough down slope to allow water to drain.

Water leaking from the bottom of the refrigerator

You could have a clogged drain line or a cracked drain pan. I would start with the drain line.

Water leaking observed from the bottom of the tank. What's the problem? Should I replace the old 21V40-2 unit? if so, what kind of tank is ok to replace the present unit? What's the price and installation...

If water heater is leaking, then open following 2 links to avoid tank rupture and troubleshoot leak:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Emergency-steps-for-leaking-water-heater.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/Water-heater-is-leaking.html

Open following link if you want to install your own gas water heater:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-install-gas-water-heater.html

To have gas water heater installed, can run $2-300 for installation plus cost of heater.
40 gallon natural gas water heater at Lowes starts at $300+, and tanks with longer warranty cost more and last longer.

If you maintain the tank: keep chemicals out of same room as water heater, attach bare copper ground wire between hot and cold pipes, flush tank each 6 months, clean burner each year as shown in manual, read the manual entirely for specific information about your model, and inspect/replace anode rod every 2-3 years then basic 6-year tank can last much longer.

sounds like the freezer defrost drain is frozen up or plugged . It is under the evaporator behind the freezer back panel. I use boiling water to clear and you may have to clear the line at the bottom where it dumps the water in the tray.

There seem to be 2 possible answers: Servi-star vs Servistar

Answer #1: Servi-star by American
1st 2 digits are year, 2nd 2 digits are week

This means water heater was made year 2004, 96th week ....it seems wrong.

Answer #2: Servistar by Craftmaster
1st 2 digits are month, 2nd 2 digits are year

This would mean your water heater was made 4th month of 1996

Which answer is true? 6 years old or 14 years old
If tank had 12 year warranty and came with 2 anode rods, and you have good water, and no stray current on pipes, then tank can last 14 years.
If tank had 6 year warranty and came with one anode rod, and you have hard water and a water softener, and you never changed anode rod or drained tank, then 6 years is a long life for the tank.

Machine drains and dial turns directly to S after filling with water.

moe thasn likly you have a pressure switch that is either telling the machine its too full and making it drain or its not seeing the switch and so it drains. Another possibility ids the machine is leaking. Pull the lower cover off and make sure there is no water in the bottom. These askos have a float switch down there that will run the drain if the sense water leaking into the lower tray. Last but not least, you could have a bad timer. these timers are covered for 5 years (parts only) from date of installation. The first 4 digits of the serial # will tell yuo when the machine was made the firts 2 are the year and the second 2 are the week of that year (so a serial beginning in 0145 woul;d mean built in the 45th week of 2001 and so on. Good luck!
