Shuts off when connected to computer

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Try using Windows instead of Kodak. With your camera plugged in and on open my computer and see if your camera is listed. If it is you can click on it press control and a to select all of the pictures, control and c to copy them, then open my pictures and press.control and v to paste them. If you don't see your camera listed open control panel, devices, scanners and cameras, add/find camera, follow the prompts to add your camera.

How do I copy pictures from the internal memory to the memory card?

Kerrisutton1,
Without knowing the exact Make and Moddel of the camera -- there are often 2 general routes pictures can be obtained from an internal memory.
1. With memory card in camera, go into your camera settings. 2. Within settings there should be a storage reader (which looks at your external card) and should be an additional option to copy files (note that most cameras have little internal memory as external cards are so cheap)
OR
1. Put camera in camera dock / charger with USB connection 2. connect camera with USB connection to computer 3. Go to Start -> My Computer -> [yourcamera] 4. Within your camera folder there will be a picture folder (different based on brands) that should house pictures that reside on internal memory.

Lost software

Hello
Windows can handle downloading from a digital camera without necessarily loading the software for the camera. Just follow these steps.

1. Connect your camera thru a USB cord to the computer and switch the camera on. The computer should be able to identify it. Some digital cameras get recognized if they are on play/edit mode rather than on taking picture position.

2. Follow the screen instructions to download the pictures to your computer.

3. If nothing happens with 1 & 2 above then go to START and MY Computer and double click that icon.

4. A screen showing all drives connected to your computer will appear including D or E whatever the case maybe where your camera is connected identifying your camera by name.

5. Double click the icon with your camera connection and the software will start reading the contents of your camera and then you follow instructions on the screen.

6. The pictures on your camera will then be displayed on the window and then you can mark all or some of them for downloading to the computer.

I hope this solves your problems, if not please advise accordingly

How to download pictures from camera to p.c

First install the application which you receive with the camera on your computer. Connect the camera with your computer by using the USB cable. Once you have connected the camera, you will be able to see an additional drive in "My Computer". Just copy the pictures from your computer and save them in that new folder.

In some software, which come with the digital camera will create a program by themselves after the installation. In these case, you need to open the program and then connect the camera to the computer. After connecting, you will see that the camera will synchronize with the computer and you will see that the program which you have already opened will show you the drive of the digital camera, where you can just transfer the pictures from your PC to the frame.
