The printer will print a test print from the lexmar utility program, but will not print anything that goes through windows. It will not print from word pad or word or any other program. I have installed the patch that lexmar says is the most recent fix. But now, the application will not uninstall using lexmar's own uninstall that I downloaded from the lexmar site.

Print a test sheet to see if the printer is OK. If tthe sheet prints fine has this printer worked on this computer before? Did you change anything or update anything? You may have the wrong driver installed or the cable could be defective if it has worked before.

One of the utilities included with the Lexmark software will print a "test" page.
Then, you view the test page, and enter some numbers into the utility.
The utility uses those numbers to (ectronically) align the print-heads.
That problem is related sometimes to old printer drivers. Please uninstall your printer from your PC and restart the PC then go to the Lexmark.com site and dowload the drivers for your X3470 those should be the new drivers and once installed they should not cause that problem.
I think you mean it sheet-feeds but does not print. If so, power off. If network connected, power off the print server. Power all back on after a minute. Depress power button on printer for 10 seconds.
If auto test page prints, problem is with printer configuration on your computer. Check the configuration carefully. Did you uninstall with the HP Scrubber utility before you did the re-install?
In If the test sheet feeds but does not print, use the HP printer utility, check ink levels, check cartridge "expiration", and clean heads several times. Test again.
Are the printer utilities programs in your Start Menu? If so, navigate to the program that is utilities, (should be the same pop up as when you replace a cartridge and it wants you to do the alignment and all that). You should be able to print a test page from there. Also you can go to Control Panel, double click on the printer icon, make sure it is your Epson, and run the utilities from there. Might need to uninstall the Drivers and reinstall them. This fixes a lot of printer problems.
Go Applications-utilities-Print Set up utility
Open Print set up utility
Then Go reset Print system
Then go to hp folder-device utilities-hp set up assistant
Run hp set up assistant to install the drivers
it will fix the Problem
