Question about Kodak EasyShare One Digital Camera

1 Answer

Horribly slow editing

I have the Easyshare CX7330. When I first got it and had the then current software I had little problem with it, but since it was changed it has gotten progressively worse and worse. All I use it for is to download pictures, crop and enhance them. I would love to have a much more basic program that would go fast. I need to load a lot of pictures on ebay. Thanks if you can help me.

Greetings...

Here is a link to a nice freeware editing program that is very quick..

Also, make sure you are running no other programs when you are editing... delete all your temp files and empty your trash can...what other programs are loading when the computer starts... AND, look at MSCONFIG... goto start, run, and type msconfig... it will show you everything loaded at the time your computer starts... if under startup, under manufacture, you see a company's software you do not reconize, check it out... you might have spyware running on your computer...
SpyBot is a good program to check that out for you... link

Hope this works for you...

Have a great weekend...

try a different USB port (if running vista) - or try not plugging into a USB hub if doing so.

Kodak Easyshare software

Can you transfer a smaller video clip?
If so, the problematic video may be very large and causing a transfer timeout. Try a card reader for transferring the video in question.
Another way to check if this is the problem is to try a selective transfer with the software, if the software can access the video and display the contents without also timing out.
If even small videos fail to transfer, there is a version 7.0 available - released since you posted this email. Maybe that will handle the issue more successfully.
Good luck.

Hey Doc

Have you tried uninstalling and then re-installing the software?

Remember, after uninstalling, re-boot before re-installing.

Can't download my pix to my computer

monkey1,

As this is an old post, do you still require help?

Have you contacted Kodak tech support?

Apart from the Kodak software to connect the camera, you could use a USB card reader.

Take the memory card from your camera and put in the card reader.... it transfers MUCH faster than directly from the camera too.

Are you sure the camera needs sfotware of any sort. OS9 s Mac I appreciate-] but the USB protocol says no drivers needed and that should apply I would have thought to Mac or PC

Problem Uploading Pics through USB Port

Are you using the Kodak software?

Try uninstalling and re-installing it, remembering to re-boot the computer after uninstalling, before re-installing.

A MUCH faster way of transferring pics, is to use a USB card reader. Take the memory card from the camera and place it in the card reader.
