Question about Panasonic Cameras

1 Answer

I have a DMC-TZ6 camera. I am having problems sending the photos in emails. They take forever to load up - nearly 1.5 minutes each! Is there a solution?

Hello

Well, this can be due to a couple of reasons. It can be due to the internet connection speed you have.

The lower the speed, the longer it will take.

The most probable problem is that the photos resolution is very high, hence, a large sized photo. Because the photo is so big in size, it will take a while.

You can minimize the resolution by using "Paint(Windows application)'

Hope this can steer you in the right directions.

Kind regards
Andrea

How do i set my tz6 to 300 dpi

DPI (dots per inch) is an output parameter and is irrelevant to the camera.

Let's say you took a picture and want to make some prints of it. You make a 4x6 print and a 8x12 print. Those will be printed at different DPI settings but It's exactly the same file from the camera, just printed at different sizes. The camera can't know what size prints you might make from the picture, so it simply puts in a default value.

If you really want to change the DPI setting as recorded in the file, you need to do it on a computer using a photo editing program.

Janesteven79@tiscali.co.uk I have a lumix DMC-TZ6 UNABLE TO TAKE PICKTURE AS MEMORY CARD IS LOCK ,HOW DO I UNLOCK IT?

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Panasonic DMC-TZ6: is it possible to have a longer exposure time than 15 minutes in the video setting, the memory card is 8 GB/ regard jorgen

It's the heat built up in the sensor that is the concern, there are some Canon and Nikon's that will go longer but those get hot. I wouldn't want my camera burning out a sensor for the sake of a video. Besides the head the battery drain is very high and the big problem is getting ride of the heat it generates.

Why don't you just right-click on the photo and select e-mail. You can even choose the size of the picture to send without affecting your original.
