If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.

Kenmore 110 60942990 dryer works but takes 3 hours to dry a load.

Venting. When elements or thermostats burn out it is almost always caused by venting restrictions. Vent is plugged with lint, smashed(usually from the dryer being pushed back to far) vent run is too long, or nylon stocking on vent outlet. Also check to see if you can pour water through your lint screen. Sometimes fabric softener builds up on the screen and restricts the air flow. Scrub your lint screen to get this build up off. Kenmore 90 series dryer leaves clothes damp. The dryer gets hot, but after almost 2 hours a large load is still damp. Happens on both auto sensing & timed dry. Checked insides & all is clear -...

Sounds like a venting problem at the house pipe.
Make sure the house venting pipe is completely clean and vent hood just outside is free of any blockages.
If all that is cleaned I would check all working thermostats and high limit thermostat as well.
GOOD LUCK!

Kenmore dryer 90 series, heats a little, but doesn't get hot and takes 3 to 4 1/2 hrs to dry a med. size load.

Check vent path from lint filter all the way to the exhaust vent to make sure it is clear. If the dryer has a wet/dry sensor it could be malfunctioning. Try a manual cycle to see if the problem occurs then.

Sounds like the heating element or the thermo-cut off. A vent being clogged for some time, can cause too much heat to build up and make the element or cut off fail. These are the 2 most common things.
