Question about Cameras

1 Answer

My trailcam (bushnell) takes pictures uncontrolably. It just keeps going even if there's nothing triggering it.

First remove any batteries from it ..and leave it a while ..in an attempt to reset it ...
if it will not ask for date and hour to be set ..and will behave the same ..it means that it is not reset and will have to do it manually ..so ..take a look in the menu ..and look for general reset ..or camera reset ..and engage it ..to get it back to the factory settings ..cause this is caused by a timed setting ..probably you messed with its settings and set it to take a picture on a certain interval of time ..

I have a tasco 3mp trailcam that i have not used in atleast 2 years can not remember the password please help

To reset the password:

Turn unit on and wait for password prompt
Depress the and hold the enter button until camera switches into 5-digit password mode _ _ _ _ _.

Trail sentry systems will not indicate 5-digit mode on the screen, but will indicate _ _ _ _ instead of HHHH .

Press enter to confirm 5 digit mode

Enter 5-digit code 66214 and press enter button( trail sentry cameras will accept a 5th Digit after the 4th digit is entered in the _ _ _ _ screen.

Camera will now go into operating mode, and user can now program a new password from the setup mode.

I have the Bushnell Trophy Cam 8mp and I am having a problem with it taking too many pictures. It is taking approx 3 pictures per min without anything setting it off. What can I do to fix this...

send it back to bushnell. they are having a software problem. I have 2 out of 3 doing this. go on bushnells website and call cust support. they email you a postage label, print it, stick it and send it back. they will fix or replace.

Camera keeps taking pictures uncontrollably

Hmmm have you checked the interval setting...sounds like it's set for 1 pic every second.

failing that, it could be a repalcment. have a go at reseting the settings from the start.

Camera taking pictures of nothing.

The sensor will detect movement up to 45 feet...If there are trees blowing in the wind it will trigger the camera...
You will have to relocate the camera position....

Take it back to the store and get a refund then buy your son this telescope--
http://www.telescope.com/control/product/~category_id=dobsonians/~pcategory=telescopes/~product_id=09814

Do not buy Tasco, Bushnell, Jupiter, Baytronic or any other department store junk telescope.

Sorry but it costs at least $200 to get a small good telescope-- and the prices go up from there. Also run away from any telescope that has pretty color pictures on the box taken by the Hubble Space Telescope-- or that has the POWER listed on the box (something like 550x) --- magnification is not important...... most of us us less than 100 power even in LARGE 8-10 inch telescopes costing thousands of dollars.
