Question about George Foreman GR10AWHT Indoor Grill

1 Answer

Hi, I have a GF model 13185 which went "pop" the other day and something was then rattling away inside. I found that a spot weld stud for an earth connection had sheared off. I got over this problem but there was still no circuit between live and neutral. The elements and the thermostat checked out OK and I have finally traced the problem to a component which is fitted in line between the incoming live and the bottom element. This is about 1/2 inch in length, has a white pointed end but I can not decipher the markings. Your help re what it is/can I get a replacement would be very much appreciated Regards, Brian Bucklar

Sharp Aquos 37" LCD TV sound quit

You could open up the TV and look for signs of burnt components then try to replace the components or try to find a replacement for the entire affected board on ebay or something. If you can find out what the problem is maybe the service person will lower there price. $600 does seem very steap, it should be something closer to $60 an hour with maybe the first $60 as an estimate.

How do i get the top bolt out the nut just comes off

If you are trying to remove a stud (a screwed bolt fixed into a metal block) try using 2 nuts. Screw them on and tighten them against each other with 2 spanners. Once tight, unscrew the lower nut. The top nut will stop it moving up the stud and should start turning the stud. An alternative way is to spot weld (tack) a nut onto the stud. Either way turns the stud into a kind of standard bolt.

splines? you meant treads?
remove wheel, then drum. no year stated , but some years
have drum bolts, ,
see 2 screw holes in the dump, insert 8mm bolt to hole
screw in both bolts an drum pushes free.
the drum is off, , remove stud , put in new stud.
or if the new stud dont fit, the drum is bad. new drum time.

Loud rattleing from exaust

Rattling from exhaust indicates a failure or parts. Check that the cat converter is in one piece and not collapsed . Check mufflers for holes where the baffles inside are spot welded indicating loose baffles. Check for loose /rusted mounting brackets. Check for broken pipes and manifold fittings.

Spool wire starts to melt while on the spool

1] Switch off the mains power, remove the torch from the machine, ther should be a button or switch on the unit to feed the wire, push or switch these and observe that the wire feeds and dose not heat up, if ok then you have a short in the torch, a new torch assembly is required,if the wire heats up with the torch removed, the wire spool is shorting out, remove the spool and check wiring in and around the feed motor, if you can't see anything check for a voltage from a good earth and on the rollers, if you have a voltage then the motor is faulty.(earthing out) a P.A.T test should show exactly where this is.
