You must uninstall from your computer the Realtek HD Audio Manager with your CD. Then restart it and than works! :D

Try to talk with your lips touching the mic . If there is any improvement open the mic housing very carefully and bring the capsule as near as possible to the top part of the housing .
hope this helps.

In your Control Panel's Sound Settings, make sure the recording device is selected to the Logitech. That's usually the place to fix your issue.

When I am talking the person on the other end is not hearing my voice. THis is a new install onto my laptop

Hi Stephan,

Open Skype and login. Now go to Tools, and Options, now click Audio settings and try switching the microphone settings between Windows default settings and any sound card driver you might be using (I am using the RealtekHD Audio codecs, for instance) and you'll be able to see the level that both Windows audio device, and the sound card driver, is set at, and you'll see the levels bar reacting to any sound you make. If the levels are too low, then you have to go to either Windows Volume Control or the Sound Card Sound Manager and adjust the microphone settings there.

A lot of people have this problem at first run, so don't think you're alone!
Hope this helps

Pcchips A13G+ motherboard sound issues

You may not have a choice. The jack could be loose or have a bad solder joint. If the microphone is "staticky" on this system but not on another, then increasing the volume will only increase the static.

You can try a condenser microphone. Condensers require their own power (battery) and output a MUCH higher signal. High enough for the Line-In jack.

If you are using the microphone for voice chat or internet phone or gaming or similar, I STRONGLY suggest a USB headset, such as you can get from Logitech. You wouldn't believe the quality difference.

How to hear my voice through my usb microphone?

by default the playback of your voice is muted. next to your clock theres the sound speaker icon click on it, you should see microphone somewhere there, if you dont press settings from the toolbar and then properties

then on the playback make sure there is a X on microphone.

then click ok, now check is the microphone muted? unmute it and speak to the microphone you should hear your own voice played back instantly from the speakers.

Audio

This clearly is some kind of device configuration problem..Open control panel->sounds and audio devices->voice Now click on test hardware and tap on your microphone and see if the sound meter is showing changes..then click next and tap again and see if you are able to hear it in your speaker. If you cannot just download the latest device drivers for your sound card and that should fix the problem! Also you can download latest drivers for your webcam here http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SCANNER-Digital-CAMERA-WEBCAM/LOGITECH/Logitech-QuickCam-Communicate-STX.shtml Try both of these and hopefully you will get it working!
