During a three hour drive back home, our AC stopped blowing cold air. If you stick your hand in front of the vent, you can feel cold air, but it doesn't blow. If you turn the fan up all the way, you can...

Have your a/c pressure tested, the clicking could be the a/c compr coming on and off due to low freon, it will do that so it don't damage your compr when there is none or low freon.

Fan runs for a minute then slows and stops.

Sounds like the capacitor..

Don't run it until the problem is fixed..

IF and only IF - you are pretty handy and have knowledge,,
Perhaps you could try this...

BE SURE POWER IS OFF to the ac unit..
Cut the breakers OFF in the breaker box !!
IF YOU CAN NOT GET THE BREAKERS OFF AND/OR CUT THE POWER TO AC - DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER !!
IF THERE IS ANY POWER GOING TO UNIT - YOU COULD BE SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED...

Inside the unit – the capacitor is metal & looks kinda like a can (round or oval) & has 3 wire connections at the top..

Do not remove capacitor until you have a new replacement to put in..
Be careful to not mix up the wire sequence..
Change one wire at a time and be very sure..

A capacitor is cheaper than a fan motor - and makes the most sense to replace..

If you are not at all comfortable trying this - get a ac company with a trained tech out to do it..

Hope this helps !!

Samsung 1.5 ton slpit AC.the out door unit is very noisy

Check to see if the noise is coming from the fan, could be bad bearings. Replace the fan motor if that is the case. If the noise is coming from the compressor, the only other place besides the fan, then your compressor has some issues and will probably stop working soon, maybe line up for a replacement before you are left with a hot house.

Goodman CKL60-1 Condenser Fan Runs OK, then stops

Bad bearings on the motor or check the fan rotations . Air should always blow out the top and **** in through the sides or coils.!... Thank-you-very-much!
