If my son has XBox Live Gold Membership do we just need an internet connection to play or do we require extra GB per month to play?

The xbox live gold membership is paid for when you buy it. It never runs out until you have used all of the time you bought. Like say you bought a 12 month subscription it will last you the whole year until the day you bought the last one and activated it. Only time you use money is when you want to buy something from xbox live. All you need is the internet wifi or direct cable works. You can actually use your xbox live account on any xbox. Say if his friend has an xbox and has xbox live he can then use his account on his friends xbox to play online with his friend. You dont have to worry though every time he goes to an xbox he has to recover his xbox live account info so no one else can use it while he is using it. There is also a few new updates to keep his account safe as well when he does want to do something like that. also you can go into family settings and make it so he cant buy anything with out a pass code even put a timer on it with a pass code to limit time of play. So inclosing no you dont have to buy GB it just uses your internet connection and it does cover the cost of play for as long as you bought the subscription. Hope this helps :)

Hi can u help me please i'm trying to connect my xbox 360 to play online but i've got a problem....... it says network connected internet connected xbox live failed

Hi loads of people are having the same problem, xbox live must be having some downtime or server issues if you was the only one then it could be your end but in the last hour their have been loads of posts regarding this problem and all users are getting the same message.

try switching you xbox off and back on and if it still dont connect then your going to have to wait i would try again in an hour or two, usually down time for the servers is a couple of hours while xbox install updates to xbox live, its not a problem your end so dont get changing any settings, the problem is with xbox live so just bare with them and it will sort itself out.

the last time this happened was about 6months ago and the downtime was just over 4 hours, so bare with them for a bit and it will be sorted.

you could try logging into the xbox site on the net and not through your xbox and check the xbox chat rooms and you will be able to find out more their.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page on unrated posts, thanks

My xbox 360 arcade system will not allow me to play origonal xbox games even with an xbox 360 hard drive attached

Okay, the Xbox 360 isn't reverse compatable, meaning you can't play regular xbox 360 games on it. The only version that is reverse compatable is the Xbox 360 Elite. SOrry :(

My Xbox will not play modernwarfare 2 or bad company 2. It will however play all of my old games. Any ideas?

What you need is a system update from Xbox Live to play wave 4 games. You can hook up your Xbox 360 console to the internet and join Xbox Live and it will automatically install the latest firmware into your console. This should fix your problem.. Hope it helps..

Xbox 360 wont play games but will p[lay movies

Well......did you get this Xbox 360 used? This normally happens when a xbox disk drive is switched with another....this is because every Xbox has a specific code written internally into the drive and if the code doesnt match the motherboards code then the system will not play games...only Dvds...sadly you cannot fix this unless you find the origonal disk drive

Don't have permission??

ok dont worry, this is an easy fix. some xbox's come with parental controlls already set. go to your xbox 360's dashboard and go to the very last tab and go to parental controlls and just set all of the controlls to the lightest settings and it SHOULD let you play on xbox live unless you have MULTIPLE PROFILES with parental controls already on.
