How do i reset computer on a delta88 year 1988

There is no resetting any cars computer

Everyone reads & copies the others questions

All you doing is asking to turn off the Malfunction
or DTC (diagnostic trouble code) light

Then you loose all stored data your mechanic needs
to find & resolve any problem

No resetting,not windows 7.

When repairs are complete most lights go out,
some need to be turned off (not reset)

That is done with a code reader, professional scan tool,
or disconnecting the battery

If you disconnect the battery on some vehicles, not much will
work again,no radio, door locks, all kinds of bad things happen.

You have an older OBD1 car 1980 thru 1995

Only if you have had repairs made & ALL issues resolve,
then disconnect the battery. Off & back on,no need to hang out
for 30 min

My sterio in my truck locked on,me what can I do to fix it my self it doesnt even let me put in a code no more

If you try to input the code a certain number of times it will lock, normally code 10? If this is so then ensure you have the CORRECT code and try this:-(Gives another 3 chances) If you have a code 13 it is a dealer only fix.
1- Drivers door open.
2- ign, off.
3- radio off.
4- press and hold "6".
5- turn on radio.
6- hold "6" 30-40sec.
7- if nothing happens let it go.
8- try 3 more times.

This operation depends on what system & serial number you have installed.

Check engine light comes on intermittently. Code 14, replaced air idle control valve. Ck engine light still comes on. What the problem?

If you are secure that the repair was done correctly, pull the 7.5 backup fuse (with the car turned off) in the under hood fuse box and wait 10 or 15 seconds before putting it back in. That should clear your engine light. You will have to reset your clock, and any selected radio settings.
If you do not have an anti-theft radio, you could simply disconnect the negative battery terminal for 10 or 15 seconds and that would do the same thing, but if you have an anti-theft radio that would require a code reset, meaning that you would have to have the five digit code.
If the engine light comes back on after the reset, then something has gone wrong with the repair.
Hope this helps.

Correct radio unlock code not working on 1995 Honda Accord

One of these ways will work. Try this first. Remove the negative battery cable and leave it off for 5 minutes. Hook it back up and then enter the correct code. If that does not work, just turn the radio on, and drive around for one hour. The radio will reset itself and you will then be able to insert the code.

Ford mondeo radio says locked

HI if you have the correct code, then pushing and holding the 6 button will give you one more attempt, if you enter the wrong code again, may as well put the radio in the bin .
make sure the code is correct!!

Unlocking of a car radio

chardaker,

Try leaving the car sit with the key on(the engine doesn't need to be started) for 10 or 20 minutes - often that will return the radio to where it will again be prompting you for the code.
