Question about Nokia N95 Cellular Phone

Forgotten Sim code

Hi i created a sim lock code a while back but no longer remember what it is. Now everytime i power on the phone it asks me for the lock code. I dont know what it is anymore. Is there any way i can just reset the whole phone system? i tried using the method of holding down the 3, green and * key but that didnt work. Any help would be great. right now this is paper weight. Thank You in advance

    Owner NOKIA N95:

I have a Nokia N95 W/A(1)GB chip. I put a personal pass code in my phone (4) months ago and I have forgotten what it was. Only inputted it once.

I do not believe it is the sim code password but a personal password I made up and have inputed 20 different variations already (I heard the phone goes to security/sleep mode after (3) wrong tries to protect the memory chip data from being accessed.

For some reason the Nokia phone never me asked for it since I first entered it (4) months ago. Then for whatever brilliant reason, I went into the Tools menu + switched the images and video I had taken (many are important to me) to be saved to the memory chip from the phone memory.

After that my phone acted a little quirky and then started asking me for my pass code to access those files. I didn't protect any other apps with it, just my images _ video; @ least I don't believe I did. I figured out a way to retrieve the images by removing and reinserting the memory chip. It worked but if the phone battery ran out of juice, it would go back to asking for my pass code.

I took it to my dealer where I bought the phone and they are the best. They installed new software (without asking me) I believe, but they could not recover my personal pass code, which Nokia should tell you (intensely) that if you forget it , there is no way to retrieve it and you have to reformat the chip and lose all your images.

I cannot do that, especially when the last photo of a friend who just died is on that memory chip. I have a Mac and PC Suite, which I believe is incompatible w/a Mac computer. I know I should have backed my images up by USB but I never thought this could happen.

I am truly helpless because the more I try to solve this, the more I believe I will harm the data chip. Maybe I will just remove the chip and buy another one until I get some striking info.

I called Nokia but they were no help. There has to be a backdoor in. Anyone who can fix this situation will receive more than a thanks.

Thanks for reading this long; I'm a writer + have to explain the whole story.

Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

    Mark

Can't remember password/code to unlock phonelock

hello there....well its quite simple...there is nothing wrong with your phone ...its your SIM... if it is asking for a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code...call your subscriber and ask them for PUK code, entering this code will reset your sim

If the error message is saying sim damaged call them and ask for a "sim replacement" you will get a new sim while you will retain the same number ,however you will lose the phone numbers and other data stored in sim, this can be free but it depends on the company and how 'customer friendly they are

Hope this help
Cheers

Nokia 1100 phone lock code is forgotten

Its not asking for phone password ,as you told that you have access to phone with old sim but not with new one,so its definitely asking for PUK code which you can get from calling the customer care of new sim card.......

If still it is asking for security password then let me know and reply with your IMEI no of your mobile by inserting the old sim card and then type *#06# at the screen, you will come to know your IMEI no.

Dilip

Nokia N95

the default lock code may be four zero s ( 0000) or 1234 or full of zeros or 123456 try these ...
if you have changed the code means then u cant do that ...
then if so you must contact the technician and get your cell flashed ...
the technician will be having the special DKU series cable which consists of the software given by the manufacture....
this DKU series is useful for resetting any passwords or codes, for unlocking, for flashing etc ....

so you take your cell to technician ...
Anyway technician will not charge much for this ....

any further doubts reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you
bye
