If you're using the MotoRokr E6, open the Mobile Phone tools application in your PC, after you have connected your phone to the PC of course. Once you get the main screen (your phone will appear as an image on the PC desktop), hit the F4 key. Then hit send/recieve button.
All the messages from the inbox will be transferred to your PC window. Select the messages in the window and hit "save as." to save in a folder of your choice. Hope this helps.

As i have noticed that there no possible way by which you can copy your
contacts from phone memory to the memory card. But there is a possible
way by which you can have a backup of your phone memory with the
contacts to your memory card. As you said that you have to move all the
contacts, you can save all the contacts in your pc and when ever
necessary you can just use the contacts with the help of your computer. With the help of nokia pc suite you can save all the contacts of your
phone memory and sim memory. In the pc suite you will get an option
where you can do a backup of your data from the mobile phone. If you
want to see your contacts in your mobile, then there is a possible way
by which you can save your contacts, you can save all the contacts in
your pc using pc suite and try to save all the contacts in a word pad,
after that transfer all the data from the pc to the phone
sir unfortunately there is no way that you can transfer your messages from one cell to the other even if they are of same barands......you can just save your messages on to a computer by usb and through nokia pc suite but still you can not transfer it to your samsung phone.... thanks for asking
The blinking envelope icon appears to be a reminder that you have your old SMSs still stored on your SIM card, and N96 needs them to be transferred to the phone memory -ether internal, mass storage or memory card- to properly display and manage them. So what you need to do is go to your menu, open Messaging, hit Options, select 'Sim Messages' and then transfer your SMSs to the N96 memory. Then do the same again & delete the SIM messages that will cure the flashing icon.
You can save the text messages into the computer using the software from Motorola. Motorola Phone Tools allow you to transfer all the information between the cellphone and the computer. You can get it from store.motorola.com Also remmber that you are not gonna be able to save text messages or contacts information in a memory card. The memory card allow you to transfer just Multimedia stuff as music pictures or videos. Good luck
If you want to transfer you sms and all your contacts to PC, there is a good phone manager which can be downloaded free from www.lasyk.net. Install it in PC, connect the phone and save all contacts and messages as a new user
