Hello,

You computer is infected with virus, You can scan your computer online ..
www.precisesecurity.com/antivirus/online-scan.htm

and then after scanning uninstall the norton and install the AVG antivirus..You can download it from here: www.grisoft.com

You can do online scan but you should start the pC insafe mode with network connection.

If this not solve maybe better to back up your files and then reinstall the windows operating system.

may this help,
melnavz

PS:
pls do not rate me if my solution not solve the issue and you need more further information. but if is invaluable solution rate me fixya.

I PURCASED A COMPAQ DESKTOP COMPUTER THAT IS PASSWORD LOCKED; HOW CAN I GET IT OPEN?

The only solution is to crack the software.
You can use Ophcrack or PC login. I use that for these situations.

Another option is that if the Administrator account is not password protected, there is a way arround.

Start the computer an repeatly tab the F7 button.
You should get a black screen with white text asking what to do.
Select startup in safe mode.
Afetr startup you will have to click on the desired user account.
Click on Administrator, and if it hasn't an password, you will be logged it.
Go to control panel -->> User accounts and create a new user with your desired name. You can also delete the password protected User account. Note that this will also delete personal files and settings.

After that you can restart and login normal using the new account

McAffe security protection. Compaq Presario XP

Hi,
The Windows Firewall is different from MCafee Security Centre. And if it has a X on it that means Ur MCafee Protection is disabled or May be expired.
To Check that, Just click on the MCafee Icon on the desktop or on the botton right hand corner, and check if its disabled or u needs to renew it.

Thank You,

My update last month has caused numerous message problems and doesn't seem to absorb that I did in fact update my subscription. HELP.

Well, when you renewed your subscription online, you just renewed it on the symantec end. So what you need to do next is open your Norton program, and go to "My Norton Account" or "subscription". Then you need to sign into your norton account from within the Norton Application and it will update your subscription status.

I'm having problems with WindowsXP loading at start-up

I don't think you have a virus, Norton 360 is a very good antivirus program and would have caught it. Try disabling all of the Norton 360 features then load the Windows XP disc. Sometimes anti-virus programs interfere with the processs. I am assuming you have the Windows XP original disc. This should work.

Cannot manage to load norton security programme

hi there,

although, not specified what you did but i presume 2 actions:

1. Running the program and cannot be completely loaded, it means that there's a program that block your Norton Internet Security 2008 to run, and that might be a Virus or Trojan. or someone is hacking in your pc (might be). and this will happen, if your Norton Internet Security 2008 is not updated and/or you install an internet plug ins in some of your visited website and through that plug ins the website administrator has a link in your pc to access, but not all.

solution: try to uninstall and fresh install your Norton Internet Security 2008 but before you do that make sure that you have a supported docs like cd key and response code from Norton if any, to successfully install your anti virus. and before you install, unplug your connection from internet (install offline, after installation, update it and scan your pc).

2. you install your Norton Internet Security 2008 and cannot be completely loaded, it means that Norton program is corrupted. please have a fresh copy in cd if any and install it.
