Question about Audio Cards
I am unable to make voice calls from my notebook. I am able to hear thein coming voice but the notebook doesnt register my audio as input.
How do I activate the audio input on the notebook? I use vista on the machine.
First make sure your microphone is pluged into the right input (the Toshiba Satelite doesn't have a built in microphone) - then try these steps:
To adjust the volume for your microphone in Windows Vista, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, type mmsys.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER. 2. In the Sound dialog box, click the Recording tab. 3. Click Microphone, and then click Properties. Note Make sure that Working appears under Microphone. If Working does not appear, click Microphone, and then click Set Default. 4. Click the Custom tab. 5. Select or clear the Microphone – 20dB Boost check box. 6. Click the Levels tab. 7. Adjust the volume slider to the level that you want, and then click OK. 8. Click OK to close the Sound dialog box.
Let me know if this helps!
