Question about Acer Aspire One PC Notebook

I want to connect my acer aspire one to my pc in order to create recovery disks and load software from the pc's dvd rw to the note book. Please can you advise.

Don't. Thats the long way. Just get an external USB CD/DVD drive and use that or take out the CD/DVD drive from your PC and buy a SATA to USB cable and use that as an external.
Using crossover cables, KVM, network, virtual CDs etc take a lot longer

You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction.
You can also create a set to Recovery disk from the recovery partition, to do so

Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Click Create Factory Default Disk, if you receive any error code or unable to burn the disk, please contact Acer Technical support at 1 800 816 2237 and order for an Recovery Disk.

NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

Acer Aspire One D250-08K Need to restore to factory settings and i have no disc. Screen is black. On start up pressed ALT F10 then nothing happens

Acer aspire 5315 VERY slow and types over words.Freezes up.

How do I do a full recovery with the disc


Turn your computer on.

Insert the Disk and choose to enter BIOS, should be F2 but watch the screen to see the right function key.

Change the boot device order to: CD-ROM, HDD in that order.

Save changes and restart the computer.

The Recovery Disk would boot up and a wizard will guide you through the recovery process.

Follow the instructions to recover your computer.

Cannot load recovery cd on my acer aspire 5100


First check the BIOS options whether u had selected CD/DVD drive as first boot device.and try.....If still the recovery disk doesnt load...u have to determine that the disks are corrupted ......Order for new disks from ACER.
