SHARP DK-A10: A CD IS STUCK INSIDE THE PLAYER AND I CAN'T GET IT OUT... CAN SOMEONE GUIDE ME TO HOW I OPEN UP THE 'BOX' SO I CAN GET TO THE STUCK CD

the reason as to why your sharp dvd player isn't working is because there may be a disk stuck inside, try pressing the STOP button, unplug it, press EJECT while plugging it

rotuate fly wheel door is open

does your cd player have a removeable face plate if so take it off and if not well then you will use the same tool as well , get a pair of tweezers and flatten them out as much as possible but use a small hammer then get a screwdriverand pry it open just slightly place some masking tape on the inside where the tweezers will clamp down not to scatch the cd place an object in the opening of your cd player to keep the flap openwith a small flash light look for the cd and turn the cd player on and have someone press the eject button while you pull on the cd and walla it will eject it with your help . good luck

Someone should open the unit to see if mechanism is moving, jammed or has something lodged inside first.

Remote and unit may have open button and try both.

Possible it is a warped CD that got logged inside the mechansim and it so happeds that some of them do so when warmed up.
If you can tap and allow it to come out make a provision to guide with a flat non metallic blade , If this wont work then you will need to open and remove from the loading carriage.

gears could be broken, do not push in, you will need to reset the cd player and open the unit up to see whats jamming it.
