Is the only difference between at CP-X1200 and CP-X1250 the bulb, or is the ballast circuit different too? Just thinking how easily I could boost the brightness from 3500 to 4500 lumens.

Model: CP-X1200 ( Lamp)
Part#: DT00591
Lamp Type: UHB
Wattage: 275 Watts
Lamp Hours: 2000 Hours

Model: CP-X1250 ( Lamp)
Part#: DT00601
Lamp Type: UHB
Wattage: 310 Watts
Lamp Hours: 2000 Hours

I'm not sure but I would think the same ballast board is used, and the trimpots adjustments set in the factory.
If you fiddle with it, you may not be able to get the tube to strike on startup, or worse you can explode the lamp.
Also the extra heat generated may degrade the optics and LCD panels.not mention melting the housing.
Better to leave well alone.

My external hd was in use when the power went out and came on . it was about 30 seconds. now my computer and ps3 will not recognize it . It is 2TB Masscool 3.5 SATA enclosure with a wd 2TB hd green. just...

Hi there,

The could be only two reasons for that problem with enclosure or hd. You need first figure out which one is the problem.
Plug the HD directly to the computer and see if computer can recognize it. If computer can recognize HD and you can access it then the problem with enclosure and something got burned when power got back. If you the enclosure still under warranty try to get replacement of if you electronic tinker you might try to fix it. If computer not able to recongnize HD and you can't access it from WIN then HD got fried. I would not recommend to store any important data on HD there is always a chance it will fail at some point.

When I go to my computer the external drive is not there. I put 1 TB drive in the masscool case.

Not enough info. Make sure you plug it into the SAME usb port it was in before, or you may have to format the drive to work in the computer. USB does not work the same way as the sata or IDE drives.
Hope that helps.

My external drive is making an awful noise, and my lap top is not reading it as disk drive G as it was before. Plus the red light is on? I can't get to any of the things I've stored on it. Help?

I'm afraid it sounds like a bad head or other simular issue that makes the drive unreadable. There are a million and one ideas out there for restoring a bad drive temporarily but usually nothing works if it is bad enough. First try it on several different machines to see if you get lucky. Also try to let it rest (no plugged in) for a while (several hours) to see if you get different results. Sometimes you can try lightly tapping it as is sometimes jars it just enough to work for a bit. If you do get it working Immediately get your data off and always plan on having a second backup, always, from now on.
There are data recovery companies that can extract the data for you if it is very important. I recommend "On-Track", however you will pay around $1500 for their services.

Good Luck

My external enclosure has difficulty staying connecting to my computer. it keeps connecting then disconnecting moments later. after picking it up, i hear a small rattle, possibly a screw... What could it...

There are only 2 things that can cause this.

1. Bad power supply
2. Bad controller card (I take there is a hard drive inside and it plugs into a contrller that then converts to usb)

I have had issues with these types of enclosures and 9 times out of ten the chief complaint was disconnection/ or does not even see the drive and the above is relevent to that.

Hope this helps please do be considerate and leave feedback and ratings for your free anwser today..

Try different slots. or on a other computer.
You could also try to open it a see if the internal drive moved out of place .. only try if you know what ur doing.
