I have more problems then i thought. All the led lights on the control panel are dime. I tryed the no heat air dry and the element still come on. In about 5 min. it was to hot to touch the inside of the drum, on air only. When i open the door before the end of a cycle it buzzes until i hit the off button. I think I have a bad control board.

Hi,
The selector switch is a good place to start but I would be more inclined to check the thermostat that controls the heating element..it maybe that it is bad or the relay is bad and the heat just never shuts of....

your will need to sort through all of this and eliminate things one by one till you find the problem...

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Heat issue is this type of dryer is usually caused by the Thermal fuse going bad. The thermal fuse is mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. When this fuse goes bad it should be replaced as it cannot be repaired. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Neptune glass front takes 4 hours to dry clothes.

make sure the vent system is clean. any restrictions can cause the safety switches to activate and turn off heaters. When it cools, the switch resets and starts heating. Unit will continue to cycle the heat off and on. Make sure all elements are working.
Start there.

No heat in the dryer. It is Maytag Neptune gas dryer about 9 years old. The drum rotates just fine but heat stopped a couple of days ago.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Things that could stop an electric dryer from heating: - house fuse or breaker (needs two of them), heating element, burnt wire, thermostat(s), thermal fuse (not all models), motor heat switch, timer, selector switch, burnt power cord/plug.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
