Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Wont Start

Make sure it has a new - good battery in it. Make sure the "lock" is off. Make sure you press the "play/pause" for like 3 seconds until it comes on. Simply pressing it quickly will not turn it on. If all of this doesn't work you may have a bad one.

My delstar mp3 player model DS3512

If it only gets as far as starting, the unit’s firmware is corrupt.
Firmware updates are not usually recommended.
I’d contact Delstar for the correct firmware.

Starting displayed won't do anything

Look for a lock or hold switch on the player. Most players have one of these to stop you accidentally switching it on or off when you're not using it.

Let me know how you get on!

one 'AAA' is expensive, you're right. you can expect maybe ten hours of continuous operation before you have to go to the bank.

seriously, with a fresh 'AAA' battery installed, you DO have to press and hold the 'play/pause' button for what seems a long time. don't release the button until the Delstar name appears.
