I have a X1950 Saphire AGP card which I paid over Ā£200 for a couple of years ago-I have a couple of spare rigs into which I could use it however it's picked up a fault whereby I get no image past the intial booup screen.I've tried it in two PC's and I'm certain the problem lies with the card itself-is the any realistic way to get it checked (and possibly fixed) without costing an arm and a leg? Thanks in advance for your help Best regards Martin Cannell

SOURCE: My ati x1950 xtx! FAULT LIGHT!! ??

What i recommend is take the card out your computer and see if it boots up.....if it does boot up then you know for sure that its the card or not...if it is the card it will all depend on what sha happened to it...if it has been struck by lightening then you household insurance should cover it to be replaced if you have household cover....but if it has just started that for no reason take it to the people you have baught it from so they can do a check on the card...please feel free to get hold of me if you need assistance

SOURCE: Hi I hada Saphire HD

try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
are you sure its the video card and not the fan that is faulty you could remove the fan and install the video card again and see/smell if any smoke comes from the video card if it does you will need to buy a new one
hope this helps

Testimonial: "Thanks for your suggestions just worried that if I put the card back in without the heatsink and fan it might burn the motherboard.Have a great day."

Get a new Video card, Your Radeon x1950 has meeted the end of it's life cycle. Once of the capicitor is damaged. You can repair the card if you know how to solder and weld other then that, it is cheaper to get a graphic card these days.

Says no signal on monitor.

The monitor is telling you that it is functioning properly (it works). It is also saying that it isn't receiving and signal from a computer. This can happen when-
** computer is turned off but monitor is on (this can occur, for example, when the computer's power supply dies while turned on). That happened to me just a couple of days ago.)

** monitor cable to computer has come loose or totally disconnected

Ack graphics card wont fit in any input slots

the adapter u are using is pci express and the dell dimension 9100 are not compatible.. try returning it for either a pci (usually the white slot) or AGP which in most cases is brown.. the AGP will be your best performance.. if return is not an option.. then it seems that a new pc is in your best interest.

Video card

in my opinion it would be best to upgrade to pci-e motherboard as the pci-e cards are actually cheaper than the agp cards these days, agp is dead by the way, most company's aren't making cards for it anymore.

imnsho you are wasting your money on a agp card.

about your att card, its most likely a driver issue. see if updated drivers are available.

ATI Radeon Saphire 9600Pro AGP Graphics Card

It appears that the mobo is AGP 8x, and this video card also appears to be AGP 8x - so you should be able to use it just fine.

System not rebooting for 30minutes after switch off

Take out the AGP card. Obviously it's not compatible. Check with the motherboard manufacturer to see what cards are compatible.
