Yes if we open and damage the clause cleary states that the product must not be tampered or handled except by authorised personnels. So what could be done was the possibilty if the remote control batteries were run down.
Check if the polarity is correct , Possible it can be stuck or is not getting the command to work the function.
Hence get your warranty to apply.

Turn off the breaker that controls power to the fan. Remove the batteries from the remote and press the buttons in case one is stuck. Reinstall batteries or new ones. Turn on the fan breaker and try using the remote again

Breeze ceiling fan not working

We were able to get 3 fans running again by replacing the capacitor which had melted in all 3 fans. On one of the fan's the casing around the motor was extremely hot, which prompted us to act quickly. I suppose the fan had been trying to start itself. We purchased the capacitors at an electrical supplier at a cost of $15 each. We were not able to locate the type of capacitors which came with the fan. I am now looking for replacement capacitors at a lower cost if possible. Does anyoe have suggestions of a reputable online dealer for capacitors at a reasonable cost? I would like to keep some on hand.
