Question about Philips Televison & Video
Please check up the sound section, the preamp/ power amp IC's and the allied cirrcuits. It is possible that a capacitor is weak in the coupling stages of the preamp and output amp.
Use a soldering iron to touch and the point at which the sound comes on you can confirm the component.
Please take care to see that since the set is live , not to tamper it further while working.
