I had to call a certified bosch repair center. They sent someone out who entered some sort of code to put the washer into diagnostic mode. Once it was there, the code cleared and my washer worked again.
I asked for the code, and the repairman wouldn't give it to me.

bosch washer e27. Hold both black buttons then turn knob one click to the left to cold. Puts it in diagnostic mode, unlocks door. Then turn back to off

You should still call repairmen as the door lock is probably bad. There are other things you can do in diagnostic mode. Start/stop triggers between E (error codes) and P (program codes)

The right black button cycles thru the codes and if you choose a P code, you can activate it with the start/stop button. Turn knob back to off to exit diagnostic mode - wizbang

SOURCE: Have a BOSCH 300/500 series washing machine.

The door locking mechanism has malfunctioned and/or is overheating. It is recommended that remove power from the appliance (unplug it) for 30 minutes and try again. If the problem persist, you will need to replace the door lock assembly.

How to clear error code e27 on bosch vision 300 washer

1. Set the knob to off.
2. Hold down both the Spin Selector button and the Allergy Rinse button simultaneously.
3. While holding these two buttons down, rotate the knob one click to the left, to the "cold" position.
4. At that point, the display will show a diagnostic code and the unit will enter a self-test mode. In my case, the solenoid latch started clicking repeatedly. I pressed the Spin Selector button once or twice, which resulted in the display of new codes and then the release of the latch.
5. I set the knob back to off, and the washer now appears to be operating.
6. You're done.

How do I fix an error code on a Bosch clothes washer/

The problem it's reporting is a door latch fault. It may be a faulty latch, or you MAY just be able to clear it if it was a hiccup. Try the following six steps to clear the code, then see what hppens:

·Turn the appliance knob to the off or reset position, 12 o'clock.

·Turn the knob to the 6 o'clock position.

·Press and hold the spin button and while holding the spin button turn the knob to the 7 o'clock position (One click clockwise).

Continue holding the spin button for about 5 seconds

·Release the spin button

·Immediately turn the knob to off

When your turn it back on it should have cleared the error code

Front load washer Bosch Vision 300/500/DLX will not drain getting a code of E27 can you help. Can't find the code # in the booklet that came with it.

A code E27 means a problem with the door lock. Try unpluging the machine for an hour and see if it resets the lock.

If not remove the cover on the lower right corner you will see a white plastic pull cord. Pull the cord and pull open the door. If that doesn't reset the door lock you will need to replace the lock.

Washer says e27 have replaced lock set will not clear

E27 means you have a problem with the door lock . It could be the door is not shut all the way or the lock assembly is just bad and needs to be replaced. If you have turned the unit off and back on from the power supply I would say you probably need to replace the door lock.

It is recommended that remove power from the appliance (unplug it) for 30 minutes and try again. If this doesn't remedy the error code, you'll need to schedule a service call.

Hope helps.

E-27 blinking

The E27 code isn't often listed in Bosch manuals but relates to the washer door lock.

The E27 error flashes on the washer LCD screen and stops the current load. Unplug your washer for 30 minutes and then plug it back in to reset the code.

Open and close the door two or three times to reset the sensor. Sometimes the door has been closed too hard and the sensor reading fails.

You may need to replace the door lock assembly on the washer.

Just got a brand new Bosch series 500 DLX and it is giving me E12 and E27 errors.

Just fixed the E27 error code. Just turn dial to off and hold down delayed start button and spin selector button and turn dial to the left one click (cold). It should then click and open. open the door and turn back to off. Everything should go back to normal.

When I try to wash I get a E27 on the display

I had to call the repairman. He said it was an overheated solenoid in the door lock. The "repair" is to let the washer cool for about 10 minutes (unplug it), then try again. If you're still getting the code, you'll probably need to call a repairman like I did. Though once he put it into diagnostic mode the code "cleared" and it works again. The final fix is to replace the lock.
