I really wanted to love this switch. However, the best thing that I can say about it is...it works as advertised. Whoa, so what's the problem? Well, the switch has two major problems. The first isn't really Linksys' problem; it's apparent on other manufacturer's switches as well. The switch doesn't support 4th mouse buttons or scroll wheels*. Once the mouse is connected to the switch, those functions are disabled. The Belkin literature (for the OmniView mentioned above) even goes as far to say you should use generic 2-button mouse drivers! While it's not the end of the world, it's pretty frustrating to lose those features.
The other problem, however, renders the switch useless for me. Instead of having to reach for the button on the switch to change PC's, they have built in a keyboard shortcut. Sounds like a great feature right? It would be except that they have made the keyboard shortcut CTRL CTRL. If you hit the CTRL key twice quickly, you will change PC's. The CTRL key?? Why would they choose a key that is used often? I use the CTRL key for firing during games. Imagine what happens when you fire rapidly. Yes, you get the strobe effect as you switch back and forth between PC's! Also, if you use the CTRL key for editing (CTRL C, CTRL V, etc.), an inadvertant double stroke on the CTRL key will switch PC's. This is unbelievable. Unfortunately, the hotkey can neither be changed nor disabled. In contrast, while it is also unchangeable, the Belkin unit uses the Scroll Lock key. This is a much more logical choice because the Scroll Lock is basically obsolete in today's computing experience.
This is some hope, though, because their 4-port switch uses a a keyboard combination of ALT CTRL SHIFT # (where #=1,2,3 and 4). While it is a little more cumbersome, it prevents accidental switching of PC's. Also, the 4-port version has Auto-Scan, which allows you to automatically cycle between your PC's. That option is not available on the 2-port version.
I recommend getting the switch kit instead of just the switch alone. While it doesn't cost a lot more ($18), the SuperVGA cables are worth the price. They are normally $23 each! I tried standard VGA cables on the Belkin switch and the signal degradation was unacceptable. hope that you get the information u need

My radio in a 1995 Chevrolet 1500 will not turn off with the key what are some trouble shooting facts

There are two fuses for the radio. One fuse circuit is hot all the time, that circuit is for radio memory and clock, where applicable. The other fuse circuit goes hot with key in acc or on, that fuse runs the radio. That is the fuse circuit you need to check, should not be hot with the key off. If it is hot with key off, either something wrong with ignition switch or that circuit is shorted to voltage, somewhere.

A Hot Key is a short cut key. Ctrl and C will give you the copy command and Ctrl and V paste. The Windows key is a stand alone hot key which gives a short cut to the start menu. Other hot keys come with the relevent soft and firmware supplied with your computer.

Bought a Pontiac G6 2007 lost the key

The chip in the key prevents hot wiring the car. That is the whole reason for it's use. Forget about hot wiring the car. If you damage the ignition you are looking at a H U G E bill to fix it. If the $50 key is "no problem" why would you risk the EIS system? This key has a transponder chip, part of the security system, inside of the key. Important: this key will require both cutting and programming to you 2007 Pontiac G6 for it to work. It can easily be programmed by a local car locksmith or dealer service department.

When/ i/ press/ the/ space/ bar/ the/ slash/ icon/ appears/ just/ like/ this/ message..thanks

Thats a hot key problem. Someone has set a "hot key" on your space bar to make it type that when pushed. Hot keys can be set to do all kinds of things. Like set a combination of pressing two at once to change someones display sideways as a joke ect.

You can turn of hot keys in your computers settings. I dont know what operating system you are running so I cannot give you exact instructions. Just open your help file and type in hot keys and it will tell you where the settings are.

On my 2010 Toyota Corolla the key occasionally is very hot when I remove it from the ignition. Is there something wrong with the ignition? .The dealer said the Immobilizer makes the key warm, but the key...

The transponder around the key which reads the chip is what the dealer means ,it should not make it excessively hot but it all depends on the person because as a mechanic i dont feel it as hot but the mrs uses a cloth ,so when it feels hot to you ask someone else to have feel as it may not appear hot to them .unless the heater vent is blowing over the key then i dont see why its should get that hot ,could be fault of the model i suppose but this is the first time i have read about this for this model vehicle

I need to know where to hook up the key hot wire on a 2005 gmc sierra?

To find where to hook up your power lead. The best way is with an inexpensive test light. You can get one at the local auto parts house. It looks like a screwdriver with a light-up handle and a wire pigtail on one end and instead of a screwblade it's got an ice-pick like tip.
Connect the aligator clip end to a metal grounding location under the dash, and then with the key on, probe with the pointed end on some of the wiring near the fuse block or under the steering column. When the light in the test light illuminates, you've found a hot. Now turn the key off and see if the light goes out. That will be your hot for the the accessory hot.
Then you'll most likely need to find a constant hot. This will be a wire that illuminates your test light whether the key is on or off. This one is hooked to the hot that is constant...it's the one that keeps all your radio stations and the memory items intact when the key is turned off.

So you'll have 2 a constant hot and an "accessory" hot that's only on with the key.

If you need wiring diagrams for your car, let me know.
