Remove the exhaust vent from the rear and try it again.
If it heats and re-lights OK,clean and straighten the exhaust vent all the way to the outside.
Go not leave the vent off. This for test purpose only.

What do I do when error code reads E 15 . Dryer runs for a few seconds than shuts down. I've tested micro switch and i'ts fine.

Post some pictures of your pilot assembly. I think this might be one of them spark sensor deals where the pilot lights and then detects flame then relays that back to the control for igniton verification. OR just try and clean up the electrode with steel wool and see if the flames stays lit is what I would try.

Check the spark ignitor when firtst starting the dryer up. It should click within the first 15 seconds to light the pilot up

I get the flame for about 15 seconds, then it goes out the thermal fuse is good. can you tell me if it is a thermostat and at which location on a whirlpool style dryer, thanks

sounds like ur thermocouple or ur flame sensor is going out or ur dryer vent is clogged or kinked try unhooking dryer vent and running if it clears up u have a restriction in the hose or a kink in the hose

Gas dryer not heating properly

This sounds like the flame sensor is bad to me.

If it does not work properly, the unit will shut off for safety. The machine assumes that the burner did not light and rather than run gas into your house, it shuts off. It may try to start a certain number of times and then shut off.

You may be able to remove and clean it (flame sensor) lightly with a scotch brite pad and it may work properly again.

Otherwise it will need replacement.

This is a very common problem and the part is probably in stock.

Post a comment on your progress as this solution is likely to be useful to many people.

Thanks,

Tim

The problem is not the gas valve.

Whirlpool model GGQ8858EQ1 gas dryer starts, gets flame and begins heating. then after a short while flame shuts off and i hear a chattering noise somewhere near the bottom of dryer. It lasts for about...

The problem is your gas valve solenoids (coils). There are usually two of them mounted on the burner assembly. One is the MAIN coil, the other is the SECONDARY coil. It is recommended that you replace BOTH of them at the same time. Replacements can be purchased on line at appliancepartspros.com. Just type in the model number you provided and look under the "Burner Assembly" section for items 13 and 14. I hope this helps you.

Maytag LDG5914AAE Gas Dryer gas shuts off after 15 seconds or so

The coils can be replaced, also I would check your dryer vent and make sure that the vent is clear and ffree from any blockage

Whirlpool gas dryer model # LGR4634JQ1. The dryer has an initial flame when first started up, but after about 15 seconds the flame goes out and the dryer remains cool.

The flame sensor is probably bad. This is located on the side of the tube the flame is in. Has two wires going to it. Try to short it out and see if the flame stays lit. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES OPERATE THIS DRYER WITH CLOTHES IN IT WITHOUT THE FLAME SENSOR IN PLACE!!!!! The other problem might be air flow. If the duct is blocked the flame will trigger the high limit switch. Take the hose off the back of the dryer and turn it on. There should be a lot of air flow. If there is and the flame stays on the duct hose or outlet is clogged.
