My H10 Scroller doesn't seem to function. is there another way to work through this.
I have the same problem. The scroll lets me get from music to radio and that's it. The volume cannot be adjusted. Otherwise the player powers on fine, plays music, stops, pauses - just fine. The scroll seems to get worse. At first I was able to scroll down halfway through the menu, now it is hardly working at all. iRiver's website is not very helpful. The email address for support is not right, emails are returned. Where can I have my iRiver fixed or what can I do myself? Thanks for your help!

Go to your control panel of the computer. Click on the tab "Change mouse whell settings" If you do nto find such tab then search for that tab by puttin word "mouse" in the search box. There you can change scrolling setting. If it doesn't work then remove the wire of your mouse, shut down computer. Insert the wire and restart computer. This will surely work. If not then contact I'll give you other remedy.
every nokia cellphones vibrating functions are usually place in the profile features, when you are on the PROFILE functions scroll it down until you see the vibrating functions.
and vibrating functions are now usually use in the silent mode.
if you don't find it in your profile functions try scrolling down it in the SETTINGS functions.
if all doesn't work it means you will have to be ready with your warranty because some cellphones comes out from the factory with defects.
I have a similar symptom, that is, apparent loss of scroll ring functionality as homercles1 noted, but in fact the scroll ring functionality gets toggled between horizontal scrolling and vertical scrolling as Rithas has noted. A window that is not wide enough to require horizontal scrolling will give the appearance of loss of scroll ring functionality when the scroll ring is in horizontal scroll mode. Likewise, a window that is not tall enough to require vertical scrolling will give the appearance of loss of scroll ring functionality when the scroll ring is in vertical scroll mode.
Solution that worked for me:
My upper right-hand button is defined as "Allow Horizontal Scroll" and by clicking this button, the scroll ring function toggles between horizontal and vertical scrolling. In fact, what can appear to be a nonfunctional scroll ring in some windows is very useful when moving around in large windows.
Hope this comment will be useful to you.
As stated above the 5/6gb units and the 20 gb units use the same scroll bars but they sit on different metal platforms. The platforms are not interchangable. The only way to do it is to remove the old/broken scroll bar from the 20gb metal platform. Then CAREFULY peel the working scroll bar off the 5gb platform be very careful the unit is in multiple layers of plastic and is very FRAGILE. Re attach the working scroll bar to the 20 gb platform and gently plug the little tail into the slot on the motherboard.
OR, buy a working 20 gb scroll bar from ebay. two screws and you're done.
