Try to do the following. I bet it works:
1. See whether you can view another webpage.
2. Run the Network Diagnostics tool in Internet Explorer
3. Reset the Modem or the Router
4. Delete your browsing history
5. Use Internet Explorer in No Add-ons Mode
6. Reset Internet Explorer Configuration Settings.

Hi thomkatzner!,
You can try the following: Go to Tools - Internet Options Press Security Tab Click on Restricted Sites Click Sites and add the following 2 sites:
http://ads.bluelithium.com http://ad.yieldmanager.com
Alternatively you can try Firefox which I think is the best solution,

I can log into my email, but it defaults to a page reading---INTERNET EXPLORER cannot display the webpage -- almost immediately. It appears all other internet connections are working properly.

I got the answer from another web site. I tried it and it solved the problem.

Click tools in your yahoo home page >then select "Internet options" > click on "security" tab > click on "Restricted Sites" > , type in the following two sites.

http://ads.bluelithium.com
http://ad.yieldmanager.com

My faebook says Internet Explorer cannot display

Hi bubblezz,
Why don't you try another free Web Browser like Firefox, Safari, Opera or Chrome? See if Facebook loads in these browsers. Internet Explorer has a record of being inadequate in most cases. If you can access your account on the other web browsers, it may be a problem with your Internet Explorer settings.

Can't logon to webpages

Hi, I am sure step 1 will resolve the issue but if step 1 does not help , then you can try the other steps mentioned below.
Cheers :)

Step1>Try to log in the web page(website) in another browser.(Just like Internet explorer is a browser, similarly Firefox is another browser), therefore try firefox instead of Internet explorer . Firefox is free , you can download it from here ...
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
(select RUN when prompted by this software )

(If step 1 does not help resolve the issue , then try step 2 )

Step2>» Configure the Security Settings for the Trusted Sites Zone in Internet Explorer...
  1. Click the Start button, point to Programs and click the Internet Explorer icon.
  2. Click the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
  3. Click Trusted Sites, and then click Default Level.
  4. Click Sites, type the URL of the site you want to add in the Add this Web site to the zone box.
  5. Click Add, click the OK button, and then click the Apply button.
(If step 2 does not help resolve the issue , then try step 3 )

Step3>Verify Internet Explorer Is Using 128-Bit Encryption
  1. In Internet Explorer, on the Help menu, click About Internet Explorer.

  2. The level of encryption on your computer appears next to the words Cipher Strength.

  3. Verify that the Cipher Strength value appears as 128-bit.

  4. Click the OK button.
Step4>Clear the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Slate and AutoComplete History

To clear the SSL slate and AutoComplete History:
  1. Launch Internet Explorer.
  2. Click the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Content tab.
  3. Click the Certificates tab, and then click Clear SSL State.
  4. When the message SSL Cache Successfully Cleared appears, click OK.
  5. Click the Personal Information option, and then click AutoComplete.
  6. Under Clear AutoComplete History, click Clear Forms.
  7. When a confirmation window appears, click OK.
  8. Click Clear Passwords.
  9. When a confirmation prompt appears, click the OK button.
  10. Click OK two more times to close the Internet Options window.
Step5 >Verify that Internet Explorer is Configured to Use SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0
  1. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Advanced tab.

  2. In the Settings box, scroll to the Security menu.

  3. Click to select the Use SSL 2.0 and Use SSL 3.0 checkboxes (if they are not already selected).

  4. Click the OK button.
