Hi, i have a laptop from work that i am trying to fix, it was kept in the store room for two years now, no one wants to trt and fix it, well the problem is that it is promting me for an power-on password. i have removed the main power, the battery, and the CMOS battery, well still nothing. please advise

If it hasn't been used for a few years, look in the manual and see if there are batteries in the control unit.

Or after all those years, just get someone in to service it.

PC repair shop should have this power cord since it is used a lot for Laptop AC adapters.
If it still does not power up, then you may have to look inside, see my pictures so you know what to look for inside the monitors that is more than 2 years old.

try to check the ethernet adapter on your computer...if the ethernet cable works fine with the other computer and the other one does not, then probably, the NIC CARD or ethernet adapter is defective...i advise, if you have someone or a technician or a friend who knows how to check...then you can do such,..or if it's a laptop..then youn can bring that to any computer stores and they have technicians there to check freely your case,k...
