Question about HP DeskJet F380 All-In-One Printer
Well, we cannot judge a cartridge by looking on the exterior surface, it's not even possible to know whether it's really dead or it's just pretending :-). We can only check them by trying it on another printer or replacing another cartridge. Even if it looks great and no physical detected/seen externally, it might have a faulty inside.
First, remove both the cartridges, clean the contacts on both the cartridges and on the printer using a cotton or other cleaning material dipped in alcohol or acetone or spirit. Never touch the print heads, they are fragile and easily damaged, moreover it's not repairable. After you are sure that the contacts are cleaned and dried, reinstall them and try again. If the problem persists with the same error. You better get another cartridge/s.
If the new cartridge/s don't work, then the printer needs to be serviced. It's contacts seem not receiving the signal from the motherbaord or there's a continuity problem. You last option is to call HP.
