Check your rca cables, amplifier grounding. might be loose.. else try to re orient the wires so that the power wires aren't close to the input and speaker output wires.

Woofer is humming

Usually a faulty cable or blown speaker will cause a humming. If it is a constant humming I would surmise a faulty cable. On the other hand, if the humming comes and goes I would guess a faulty speaker.

Tv and speakers buzzing noise

If the hum is a low note continuous hum, its at 'mains' frequency. The power cables to the unit (or inside it) are getting too close to the cables that carry sound signals to the center speaker. The mains power naturally hums and if mains wires are near to audio kit wires they pick up this sound and play it through their system/speakers. Check the wires to and from it make sure the connections are good and firm. Seperate these wires by at least one inch from any power cables, use tape to hold them down and away from each other.

did you bypass the amp thats mostly located in the trunk on the right side behind the cover. Either its there or under the rear speaker deck. You have to bypass that amp before the speakers will work and there is a kit for that too.

it depends on what volume level the tv is on
if the level of volume is low and making the sound then try unpluging or pluging in the sound system to the tv

Humming Sound

Make sure the power cables are not close or entwined with the audio cables. The audio cables pick noise from the power cable and hence u hear the buzzing sound. I havent used your system, but look for a power button on the device itself. That should work in your favor. Else in the computer itself you can mute the speakers.

RCA Pre-Out Making Producing a Mumming and a Popping Sound.

the speakers hook to speaker wires not to any thing else no power no negative poles do you have a remote shut off switch connected to amp this would be important to cut off amp

when cut off amp if you still here the humming this can be an indicator of low power being produced by alternator alternators produce 14 anything below 12 would mean replacement of alternator

if alternator fine then you need to find new ground for amp and make sure you have a good ground for sterio this can be checked with a test light
to check a ground all you do is hook gator clip to power then touch test light end to ground on radio end light comes on got a good ground (make sure not to touch any other sterio wires just the ground wire while connected to power to check grounds)
if pulsing in test light on the ground means you have a bad ground
just disconnect move to better ground

check the amp ground the same way as decribed above

I have a philips cd player model# FW-C70/37, that has power going to it but has no sound coming from any of the speakers, nor will the cd changer open.

cd players work without use of volume controls coax cables hook up's and then by setting reciever to proper button so sound can come out
you might have had a power surge that fried your system but lets look at easy stuff first
fuses
lines in properly and connected
test on an old sterio with speaker hook ups and test your speakers by plugging in to old beat box
make sure wires are not scorched
turn on receiver fm see if speakers work change channels to sterio and mono settings if speakers start to work on sterio or mono setting chances are power surge blew out your system
hope this worked

Car speakers and ground wires

  • What gauge is the wire used to route your battery + and - ?
  • What does audio your system consist of?
There could be several things happening. The hum is most likely from a ground loop or bad ground of some kind. Search the web for a "ground loop isolator" and pick one up.

The dimming sounds like there's just too much draw on your batteries for the wiring and system that you have. If the wire used to connect amp to battery and battery to battery are too small, there will be too much voltage drop in the wire. Plus, if your system is giant, you may have to add a 1 farad capacitor (or larger) or a high output alternator to your system to keep up with the power draw by the amp(s).

Swapping out a factory radio in a 2005 ford taurus

I don't know about the air bag but you need a special fit kit and wiring harness due to the climate controls being built in with the radio as one unit. The new kit separates the climate controls from the radio, and leaves a hole for the radio of your choice to fit into. These kits are expensive and I suggest you try to get one from ebay. Sorry, thats the downside of a Taurus.
