Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T700 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I plugged my camera into my computer, opened the folder and then accidently deleted some photos, however they don't seem to be in the Recycling Bin. Does anyone know where they could have gone and how I can retrieve them? Thanks!

Hello

Download THIS.

Download this free tool and run it on you card and it should be able to recover all pictures provided that you have not used the card since formatting. I recommend using a card reader for this.

After downloading and running (no installation required) , simply select deep scan and your memory card and it will start scanning, To recover a found file , right click it and select save.

Please note that the file names will probably not be available and also that some of the properties of the photo like date taken could be lost.

Please let me know when you have recovered your pictures safely or contact me if you need further assistance.

Regards
Andrea

Just open gallery, find "select" , do it then use the same 'button' to bring up a list of options. 'Delete' should be there.

My son has accidentally deleted all his holiday photos from his digital camera. Are they gone for ever or might they still be 'hidden' on the card?

nope..sorry to report..there is no place else for them to go..you could check the memory and the installed card, if that model has one. though..

HOW DO I DELETE PHOTOS?

1. Most cameras today use a removable memory card of some kind. If you can get it out and have a computer with a card reader on it you can plug in the card directly with a PC. Go to My Computer - Open (Name of Card) - Open Folders until you find your images. Next, select the pictures you want to delete by highlighting them and dragging to the Recycle Bin. (Remember you can drag your mouse to highlight lots of pictures at a time.) Best not mess with the other folders if there are no images in them though, because they contain the information to run the camera. Your card should now have only the images you want. Safely Disconnect the card from the computer. Reinstall the card correctly in the camera and you are ready to go.

2. If you don't have a card reader on a computer then use the USB cable you said you have and attach the camera to a USB port on your computer. Follow the steps above for opening the Memory Card in the camera.

All the above assumes the camera is in good working order with fresh batteries or a power supply. Most USB ports don't output the power necessary to run a camera.

Good Luck.

Hi
The best way to retrieve data (images videos document) once it has been deleted is to use a data recovery software.
There are many different types of data recovery software and they all require being purchased.

Plz help. I am sick over this. My OLYMPUS SP-800UZ is still plugged into my pc. I dare not do anything till I talk to you.

On your computer there is a Recycle bim icon. If you did not empty this Recycle Bin the when you open this Recycle Bin you can left click on the folder you had deleted then click on File then click Restore.
This folder will then be returned to its previous location with your photos.

I want to erase every thing off my sansa

Ok, plug it in your computer, open "My Computer," open up your Sansa, open up the file named "Music," select all the files, right click them and click delete. Now go to the Recycling Bin and delete all the music files that were on your Sansa. Sometimes the Sansa doesn't realize that files are gone until you delete them from the Recycling Bin, crazy I know, but it's true.
Hope it helps!

How do i recover deleted pictures?

you can recover photos from camera with camera recovery tool like asoftech photo recovery. First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download asoftech photo recovery software
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Back-Up-and-Recovery/Asoftech-Photo-Recovery.shtml
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

Recycle bin

1. Click Start, and then click My Computer. 2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options. 3. Click the View tab, and then click to clear the Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) check box. 4. Click Yes when the warning message appears, and then click OK to close the Folder Options dialog box. 5. Click Folders on the toolbar.

Note If Folders is not visible on the toolbar, point to Toolbars on the View menu, and then click Standard Buttons. 6. In the left pane, under Folders, locate the Recycle Bin folder, and then drag the Recycle Bin folder to the desktop. 7. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options. 8. Click the View tab, and then click to select the Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) check box. Click OK.Note This procedure does not re-create the original icon. However, this procedure restores most of the features of the Recycle Bin, including the following: • Delete a file by dragging it to the Recycle Bin icon on your Desktop. • Retrieve a file that you deleted by double-clicking the Recycle Bin icon on your Desktop, right-clicking the file that you want to retrieve, and then clicking Restore. • Empty the Recycle Bin by right-clicking the Recycle Bin icon on your Desktop, and then clicking Empty Recycle Bin. When you use these step to work around the problem, you cannot right-click the Recycle Bin shortcut to access the Recycle Bin Properties. To set properties for the Recycle Bin, follow these steps: 1. Double-click the Recycle Bin shortcut on the Desktop. The Recycle Bin folder opens. 2. In the upper left corner of the Recycle Bin folder, right-click the Recycle Bin icon, and then click Properties.
