Question about Computers & Internet
What make and model of laptop?
First, look for a "Sun" icon, you may have a "Sun up" and "Sun Down" Icon.
Hold down the Fn key, press and release the sun or sun up icon about 10 times. This is the built in brightness adjustment for most laptops.
Did that help?
if not, then your 'inverter' or 'tubes' are going out. The inverter is more common, and usually runs about $40 US for the part. Labor is usually abot 1/2 hour to an hour.
If it's the tubes, you'll usually notice a color change, most often a pinkish tinge to everything. Cost to fix varies widely on this, you might even be better off getting a new lcd (screen) than paying for tubes and labor.
