Question about D-Link DI 514 Wireless Router (DI-514)
Sorry my anwser can be in spanish or english only.-
1.- All the conectivity devices, have a fisical address, and this is called "Mac Address", and is unique in the World.
2.- So,your wireless router have ones, and each computers too.
3.- The ISP (Internet Source Provider), only permit the Mac Address of the First computer only, and It know only this, so the Router Mac Address is unknow for they, and the rest of computers too.
4.- But, you can configure the firmware of the Router, so it show to the ISP the First Computer Mac Address allways, and this you can do in Items "Lan Configure" writing "Clone Mac Addres".-
5.- So, the ISP don`t see the Router MAc Address, always will see the Firts computer Mac Address, and the Router share the Internet Conectivity with other computers without problem.-
6.-For to configure the Router, in the browser you must write the followen Ip : 192.168.0.1 or samthing lake that, for this you must have conected your computer to the Router with an Ethernet cable with RJ-45 connectors.-
That is all.-
