Question about Computers & Internet
There is no board faulty ...either the board do not support the Ram memory or you didnt reinatalled the system after inserted the Ram memory ..or the frequency that the board supports is not the same with the ram memory ...
It might also make trouble on boot..I mean boot repetitively until a successful one ..
on the specs it seams that the board supports the ram on ddr3..the idea is to see if the frequency is not bigger than 1066 MHz • 1333 MHz interval...I mean one or the other ..if it is bigger this is the issue ..and will probably work with a little trouble that you described and also read only half the value ..In this case you will need another Ram memory that will match one of those values on frequency ...and also a reinstall after inserting them,or at least remove the bios battery and let it be recognized and auto set the best settings ..
for the CPU ...what to say ..it is a Socket LGA1156 and will fit any cpu in this make ..the best will be as large as possible ..so it should have been a better choice with a i7-870 which is a dual core operating with 8 M of catch and on a 2.9 G ..
The socket supports processors with frequencies from 1.86 GHz to 3.46 GHz. and I understood that there is a variant of i5 that operateon the max..and if you have it its perfect ..the issue is that the ram memory have to be watched and see if the frequency is matching or changed...also is good to know that this board will support up to 16 G of ram so do the math and see that you could insert more..and it will have been much speedier ..
if all seam perfect in the compatibility ..and still makes problem ..go to bios and default it tp the optimal factory settings ..this way you avoid any settings like overclocking or ..maximum temperature settings for the cpu ..(this may cause the shut down ..like a protection when activated..) ..
also ..reinstall it ..and let it on 32 bit if it possible ..
another thing that may cause the issues is the cpu cooler..check to work right and be well stuck on the mo bo ..cause otherwise may not cool the cpu proper and causing blue screens and shut downs..
