Yellow = Always +12V

Also check pg 27 of the installation manual here http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/00/95/GET0171-002B.pdf

Here's a tip. if the yellow wire's missing from the harness connector, and you're not using an additional amp or power antenna, use a pin to unlock either of the 2 blue remote turn on leads. Remove the lead, desolder the thinner gauge blue/blue-white wire, carefully solder a thicker gauge yellow wire to the end of the lug and slip it back into the connector till it locks.

Why does my jvc kd-r526 reset to factory default everytime i turn it off

Try connecting the yellow wire to a constant power source. That is, a source that still has power when the key is turned off. The yellow wire controls the memory of the radio.

How much was the jvc-kd-s5050 new when they first came out?

The list retail price for this unit originally was $120. However it has been around for a good few years and by 2006 it was retailing for around $75.

Hope it helps. Please leave a vote for the solution. Thanks.

CONNECTING AN AUX CABLE TO PLAYER

Unfortunately, you can't. I have the same deck, and it has no aux in capability. The S5050 is simply a CD player, not even an MP3 player.

Jvc kd-g441 usb car stereo unit

Here's what Halford's told me to do; Remove the unit (by taking off the front bit, then using the keys to get the main bit out). You should see a red and a yellow power cable. Take the red and yellow cables out of the sockets, and swap them. This apparently re-orients the power and allows the unit to store data and resume playback etc more effectively. Hope it helps...

Kd-s5050 wont stay ON

This is Common on Vauxhalls...

The Accessory position on the Ignition fails!

so the Ignition connection is temperamental... The unit has power and so certain functions using the constant 12v.

I normally connect the ignition to a different source.

Or a quick fix is to connect both red & yellow to the constant12v
